I bought this item and it does work very well. The only draw back is that sometimes the lid can detach a bit while it's mixing and liquid drips out into the machine. Then if you fasten the lid too tight, it's extremely hard to open, sometimes impossible. Should come with extra lids to drink from (with small spout and cover).

For the most part I am happy with my NutriBullet 900 Series; however, I find it difficult to attach the container to the base and turn to make contact with the starter. Invariably, the container loosens and begins to leak.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
