Must be precise in not filling above fill line. All ingredients have to be pushed into liguid to make sure. If it's a little too much, the top will unscrew slightly and shake will leak around screw top. It's hard to engage sometimes. Other times not difficult at all. I love it, but it has it's challenges. For the money, I expected a bit more ease of use.
