The beast

This blender is a beast. It can tackle anything you throw at it. I don't know how others have so much problems with it but I have 2 which I cycle through the blending bases every 6 months.
One person commented on the weight, yes it's heavy because it's a big 900 watt motor in there. The lighter products have a smaller motor which will be lighter with less power and faster to burn out or overload if you made a lot of smoothies or stuff it with a lot of ingredients.
You need to put enough water or other liquid in for the blender to mix it properly especially if you're using frozen fruits. If not the blades with have a hard time breaking and mixing it up.
I've literally made over a thousand smoothies with my machine and it's still going strong.
You have to be smart and be able to hear the sound of the motor to know when it's being overloaded and need to add more liquid. I have a technical background so my ears are more attuned to what to listen for.
I make smoothies everyday and the blender runs less than a minute. That's how fast this beast chews everything up. Everything is put in is frozen and the motor struggles at times but I add more water and I pick it up and turn it side to side to help the ingredients move inside.
I must say though, the blades do need a better design but I don't think it can be much better than it is.
The bearing did go bad, I could hear the sound very increasingly louder and when you spin the blade I can hear the grinding of the bearing because it's lacking the grease.
The grease had leaked out into my smoothie ( I drank it anyway).

The gasket had come off a few times and got mixed into my drink but sure why. But luckily it didn't break.
The tabs on my cup broke off due to wear and tear but understandable because I use it so much.
I notice after awhile the coating inside the cup wears away, or the plastic in it just get so worn by the amount of product being beaten around in there that a film starts to build up that has to be scrubbed clean.
In the beginning its super easy to clean the cup but I think it's the wear and tear of multiple uses that does.
The gasket needs to be removed and cleaned in all the small grooves as well as inside the base where it sits.
The blades needs to be scrubbed clean top and bottom although it's very difficult to get under the blade.
I think I use it more than a typical user but overall I think it's well worth the money for what it is.
I don't expect the blade or the cup to last extended use and would have to be changed accordingly.

I used the Nutribullet for making fruit smoothies for 2 or 3 months and loved it. Then it got harder and harder to turn it on. Now it doesn't turn on at all. Very disappointing for the price.

Don't buy!

My Nutribullet blender combo worked for a few months, but then would emit a burning smell while working. Small black particles of plastic?? was all over the blender and my countertop. Possibly in my smoothie as well. This blender has a very short shelf life. Definitely not worth the money. Would like to learn how to repair? Unfortunately, it will end up in the garbage.

Before this I had the NutriBullet RX. I found the construction of this unit to be quite cheap. I do not anticipate this thing will last long. I make smoothies daily and need something sturdy. In the mean time I'll start looking for alternative machines.

Great for my office desk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that there are no cords needed to operate so I can use it at my desk where there are no available wall plugs. It takes the same charging cord as my cell phone does so I don't need to plug a new cord in to charge, I just use the one I have plugged into my PC when it needs to charge. Works great for my smoothies both with and without added fruit.

Needs fixing

This is my third nutribullet I have bought, I love that it really does a great job blending and pulverizing foods. But I’m so frustrated with the cups little tabs breaking off so easily! I don’t want to have to replace these cups, why can’t you make better cups, I’m sure I’m not the only person with this complaint! I would have giving 5 stars if the plastic weren’t so breakable! I would recommend this product for the machine itself, but I also will mention the problem with the tabs breaking and let them make up their own mind about it. The machine does not work without the tabs! Replacements shouldn’t have to happen, it can be expensive having to replace them as often as they break off.
I would recommend this to a friend!
