I have a Vitamix but it isn't great for smaller batches and 16 oz smoothies. For insurance, making cashew butter. The Vitamix leaves unchopped nuts in the corners when making nut butters. The NitriBullet Pro doesn't have this problem. At worst, you'll need to take the bullet container off and shake it a few times to get a thoroughly complete and even blending.
For bigger jobs the Vitamix wins, but for most day to day power blending jobs (like making smoothies), the Nutri Bullet is easier to use and to clean than the Vitamix.

The blade that comes with the Nutribullet does not completely break down nuts and skin from fruit as it stated. This is my second purchase. I bought an extended warranty this time because the first motor went out on me after a year. What I love about it is that cleanup is easy! You make your smoothie in the same container that you can use to drink it or carried away. And then you just rinse out the blade. So if you don’t mind not having your drink totally smooth,I recommend it.

I have been disappointed in the NutriBullet Pro. I have actually gone back to using my blender for preparing my protein shakes. The unit leaks out the lid while mixing despite putting less and less in the container. I have followed the instructions on only filling the ingredients to the max line. It takes much longer to mix up than I had expected.

I've used the standard NutriBullet for several years with no problems. It eventually stopped working as efficiently, so I thought I would step up from the 600 go the 900 Pro. I have been very disappointed. The blade assembly doesn't fit well into the motor assembly. This makes it a little tricky to get started, then it tends to come loose during the process. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to return it.

We got our nutribullet for Christmas and have had a delicious, nutritious and easy smoothie every day since. So easy to 'chuck in' whatever you've got and turn it into something nice. I've never eaten so much fruit and I definitely feel better for it. My only complaint is that no matter how much you tighten it when you screw in the blades, it gradually comes undone whilst pulsing, and after 4 pulses it starts to leak into the bottom of the unit. I would suggest it is redesigned with a lock feature to prevent this. This spillage is more tricky to clean up than anything else. Also I wish there were no ridges inside the container as it makes it difficult to scrape out the last bit of thicker smoothies which I see as a waste. Otherwise, brilliant so far...
