Great Oven...but is it "Stainless Steel"?

This oven is beautiful and high quality. The only issue we have is that we were told by our builder that this is the "Stainless Steel" version. Is that true? The rest of our GE appliances in our kitchen have a brushed silver look and this one looks black next to the rest of them.
Do you have any suggestions? Does this model come in a stainless steel or brushed silver look that better matches GE's other stainless steel appliances?

I grew up in a house with double wall ovens, and knew that preparing large meals, especially at the holidays, was much easier than it is when you have a single oven. The home we purchased three years ago came with an ancient single wall oven and a built-in microwave, which limited our ability to install a double wall oven. Although we couldn't find this oven in the store, we took a chance based on the reviews and purchased it anyway.
So far I have been thrilled with its features and performance. As other reviewers have said, the top oven preheats very quickly and is perfect for many of the items I bake - pork chops, cookies, biscuits, etc. We've enjoyed the pizza settings on the upper oven and convection bake on the lower oven. Last week, I made a pork roast in the lower oven using the slow cook setting - although it cooked faster than in my countertop slow cooker, the roast was incredibly tender and juicy. We have yet to cook a turkey, but with the offset rack in the lowest position in the bottom oven I am confident there will be plenty of room for the 20 lb bird we buy for Thanksgiving.
For anyone who wants the versatility of a double oven without having to do a kitchen remodel, I can't recommend this oven enough.

I chose this oven because I wanted double ovens but didn’t want to use up all that space on the wall where we could have windows instead. We put it under our counter. I love to bake and cook so my backup plan was to put an additional full size single oven under the counter but so far I haven’t felt the need. The bottom oven supposedly can hold a turkey. I haven’t tried but i think you could do it depending on your pan. I plan to do my turkey separately in my big roaster that I keep in storage. I have had to take the sliding rack out of the bottom when I need to use a deeper pot with lid on. This is kind of a pain but I feel it’s worth it for a more streamlined kitchen and I haven’t had to do it often. I ordered this online and did not see in person so I had hopes that the bottom oven was almost as big as those ones that come in a stove unit with the cooktop, the tiny top oven, and the bigger oven on bottom. It is NOT that big. The top oven is comparable to those top ones and the bottom is just a little bigger than the top. I waited to do my review after using this for about 10 months. I would buy this oven again. In fact, if I was going to use the wall space with double ovens I would rather have one of these and one full size. I really like the efficiency of not heating up a full size oven for small things. And I would prefer to heat 2 small ovens for cookies rather than trying to switch pans on racks halfway through for even cooking. If you routinely bake 2 dishes on different racks in the same oven, this will be too small for you. But I am pretty happy with it so far.

Game changer

I have been using this double oven for about three months now and am perfectly happy with the flexibility they give me as well as the performance of both. I normally have two full size ovens, but am happy that I gave this a try to replace the single wall oven that was in place in my current kitchen. Being able to have different items baking/roasting at the same time at different temperatures makes meal prep much easier and less stressful. I personally have not run into anything where the size of the ovens was an issue. They preheat quickly, cook and bake evenly. Racks are sturdy. I don't miss my full size ovens at all.

Love using the double oven. It would be impossible to go back to a single oven. Stays clean. Easy to pull out racks. Heats up quickly.

disappointed in broiler

I bought this oven about 2 months ago. I am very surprised how poorly the broiler works. I have had several electric ovens in the past but this broiler function just doesn't work well with chops, steaks or fish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yay a double oven

We bought this to replace a Whirlpool oven we accidentally cooked the control board in. Don't leave your oven door open after baking ;) I was happy to see GE made a double oven that fit into the space of a single wall oven. So we put the repair cost towards a new oven and bought this.
The small top oven heats in no time. The preheat time is so fast you can watch the temp climb about a degree a second! Very cool. I read somewhere that the top oven had 8" of usable space. I measured my dutch ovens and thought they would fit. The measurement I read must not have accounted for the heating elements and the rack. So that was a bummer. I'll have to use the larger oven for those. Certainly not the end of the world. So far I still like the oven.
