Extremely Easy, High Performance Wifi System
on May 29, 2019

You won't be disappointed. The system is extremely easy to set up (use the phone app) and the performance is top notch. I had a single router prior to this and the difference is very noticeable. And it's not just the difference of getting full bars no matter where I am in my house. The experience is also different when comparing the same signal strength. Full bars on this system performs noticeably better than full bars on the old router. The newer technology in this system (e.g. beam forming) and the optimizations that are automatically done for you (e.g. channel selection) make this an easy to recommend wifi solution. Also, the freedom to unplug the satellites and just plug them in anywhere else and be online in a matter of seconds, is awesome.

Perfect Coverage
on May 29, 2019

I've been running an Arris router from Spectrum and a Netgear extender in a 4,000 sq ft house. Ever since we moved in, we had slow internet, dropped signal, dead spots, and slow switchover between router/extender and multiple bands.
The Orbi was easy to setup, update the software/firmware, and convert from router to AP (the Arris still does the routing). The result has been rock solid internet with no dead spots and seamless coverage as I move throughout the house.
I will say that bought a model with coverage for 2x my square footage and it was a good choice!! Yes, it was not cheap, but for a household tht has very high internet demands (2 Apple TVs, 4 Firesticks, 3 security cameras, 3 computers and 6 mobile devices), the Orbi system is perfect!!

Dependable AND fast!
on May 29, 2019

I tried two wifi mesh systems before springing for the Orbi. The first (sorry, Netgear, they were Nighthawk X4S extenders) was fast, but unreliable. We were constantly losing service. The second, Google WiFi, was reliable, but extremely slow: throughput was often 1/6 of what we pay for (330Mbps). Finally, I decided to pay a bit more for the Orbi system with a base router and two wall plug-in satellites. I wish I had done it to begin with. Orbi is fast (the weakest spots in the house get about 100-150Mbps), hasn't given us any connectivity issues yet, and allows me to easily see and manage the entire system. I highly recommend Orbi.
If anyone is interested, I live in a duplex down apartment with zigzagging hallways and lots of interference-causing objects.

No comparison to my old router
on May 29, 2019

I previously used a router with rage extender to cover the whole house. We had coverage throughout, but I'd have to reboot weekly to get the extender to resynch to the base. Saw the RBK-40 set on sale at a local big box and impulse bought. We didn't realize the speed we were missing on the far side of the house and no issues with the connection yet. Setup barely had to interrupt my wife's movie (needed to reboot the modem), and then switched her TV over at the end of the movie. Previously we would get 480 or 720 on the TV farthest from the router, now no issues with 1080. If it keeps working like this, I'm sold. I just wish the satellites were cheaper or smaller as I need a second so both satellites can be hidden in cabinets. Overall very satisfied.

Fabulous Whole Home WiFi System
on May 29, 2019

I absolutely love this product! I have tried other whole home WiFi systems, everything from the local cable provider to google's system and even linksys and none of them touch the ease of set up and the seamless operation I have gotten from the Orbi system. Our house is very awkwardly arranged and we have entire concrete block walls. This makes it a black hole for having WiFi throughout the entire home. With only the Orbi router and the plug in satellite that comes with the system we are able to run 4 TV's with 4 PS4's and 4 iPhones all at the same time with not even a slight drop in service or connectivity. Gaming on this system is a breeze and streaming movies is effortless. This is the best system in my opinion and is a great price! Thank you Orbi!

So far so wonderful...

I'm a loyal Netgear gear head. This is my 4th Netgear WiFi device. I've owned two routers, an extender and this new mesh system. I bought it after much review and discussions with my IT department at work. What I liked about the Orbi was the option for two satellites and a bank of Ethernet ports. I also liked the fact that it had the perfect range for my size house and could penetrate through concrete walls and the floor of my garage! It was a little hinky to set up- trying to find a sweet spot was a bit tricky, but ultimately it was up, running and humming nicely. Some users have gotten disconnected at home on a couple of occasions since installing, but it could be due to ISP. Overall I'm super happy and likely to purchase additional netgear products.

orbi ac2200
on May 29, 2019

A few days ago I purchased the orbi mesh router ac2200. The main reason I purchased this router is because it came with the small satellite that I could put in my back yard shed so that I could get internet in my yard. I had previously purchased a Linksys ac1750 but was unable to get internet in the yard so instead of purchasing a repeater I decided to go ahead and get this system. Setting up was fairly easy once I set up the router I was ready to add the satellite but I decided just for curiosity to check if I could see the internet in the back yard and to my surprise I get 4 bars no need to set up the satellite, I have to say that I love this router only thing is that it does not have a usb and I had to order a print server other than that it was well worth it

Fixed my poor wifi
on May 29, 2019

Very easy to set and fixed my wifi issues. I was using 2 wifi routers previously - I had them set up to the same SSID per recommendations, but sometimes hand-off was poor and (even worse) the old routers would just randomly drop for no apparent reason.I originally intended to get "compact" set (RBK23 satellites) that each have 2 ethernet ports and can be used to as a backhaul line to the main router ("hard" ethernet line back to the main hub). I figured this was necessary to ensure a solid connection, but I accidentally ordered the RBK33 instead (these plug directly into the wall and lack the 2 ethernet ports). Much to my surprise and satisfaction, the wireless backhaul works great! No hard line needed! They easily cover every inch of my 4500 sq ft home! Awesome!
