NETGEAR Orbi'„¢ - Home WiFi

My Internet connection always drops due to modem is kept in the basement. I was not planning to move that because of my Media room setup is in basement to keep the connection stable. First and second level connection was spotty and frequent drop of connection. I tried extenders and was not happy with that. Orbi was suggested by couple of friends and decided to buy base and 2 satellite (Bundle). We installed this 2 weeks before and so far my experience is good. We use 15+ gadgets from streaming to safety and did not see that much of fluctuations / drop in connection. I may add more satellites based on home security items. For now, happy about this product.

Easy Peasy

If I can do it, anyone can! Simple and straight forward, this 71 year old not so savvy non technical had this system up and running in less than 30 min. I've struggled with lesser systems and extenders and still end up with slow and spotty coverage. Now with the mesh system we have the full speed of our service, and no "holes" in the coverage in our modest 2 story home (2600 sqft). Phone app works great, and I had no problems bringing my gadgets back on line. On another note, if Netgear hasn't received a packaging award for this package...they should. Neatest organization, easy to open, and a non scary start up book. Loving this new system, thanks Netgear!

The RBK40 (AC2200) works great.

I've needed to upgrade my wireless router for far too long. After a lot of reading and checking reviews I felt the orbi was the way to go. with my horrible modem I get 120 Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload. Which is nearly double my previous setup. I also just purchased a NETGEAR CM700 cable modem with hopes of increasing the speed again. I wanted the separate modem and router setup or I would've purchased the 2 in 1 CBK40 unit. I will definitely recommended it to anyone looking for a new wireless router. The satellite router increased my range immensely. No dead spot in my house now. Do yourself a favor and check out the orbi systems before you make a decision

Perfect wirelss solution

I bought this, hoping to expand coverage in my parents' house. It did just that!! The Problem. My Parents have an older two story home, brick and plaster walls, no sheet rock. The wireless signal didn't reach upstairs and dropped all together, at times.
The Fix. I installed the Orbi router, in place of their existing wireless router. I put the orbi's satellite unit on the same floor as the orbi router, but in the far side library.
The Results. The wireless signal, that only coverd their downstairs before Orbi, now covers the whole house! It's working great. We have immediately noticed a speed and coverage improvement with the Orbi mesh network.

LOVE IT!!

Can't begin to express how grateful we are for this product. Small business with lots of internet being used from phones to laptops to tablets. The router provided through our cable company could not come close to handling our needs and conference calls, MMA streaming events to just using our Electronic Health Records system continually failed. Once the Orbi arrived, the instillation was easy and we have maximized not only our internet speed, but our signal strength is much stronger and zero reports of people being booted or internet lagging have occurred allowing us to work more efficiently. Highly recommended product. Saving to put it in my home!! Many Thanks!!

Perfect solution to cover my house

Bought the package with 2 satellites to get coverage to all corners of my house after receiving one too many complaints from family members, and many experiments with 'one-off' solutions that required weekly restarts to stay stable.
Ensure that the satellites are properly paired with the base station prior to initial setup for best experience.
The iOS app works like a champ, but the full browser configuration is extensive. I appreciated how it automatically alerted to updated firmware being available.
Have been up for 2 weeks now and have GREAT speed in every location inside the house '” and in the yard.
I would definitely recommend this product.

Orbi is amazing

I recently upgraded my wireless network in my home to the Orbi system. It is absolutely amazing, first off the setup is a breeze, I actually know networking and was stumped at how simplistic it was to get going. Secondly everything works correctly, meaning the right items have the right priority and everything connects how you would expect it to. The app to monitor is simple to use and has all the tools you need. I work at a major retailer that has the best buy's around and I have been recommending this product to anyone who will listen. I have had 0 complaints and multiple rave reviews from others who have tied it. Nice job Netgear, Orbi is better than expected.

Great product and easy setup

I am very happy with our new NETGEAR Orbi Mesh Netork with two satellites. We also purchased a new NETGEAR Modem after having owned and used Cisco products for years. I cannot believe has easy it was to setup.
Setup was pretty much follow the directions on the quick startup instructions and those on screen. Installation information has obviously been tested by non-techies for feedback and clarity.
One of my biggest pet peeves is instructions that skip steps or use different names for a button or mode than what appears elsewhere in the installation directions.
BRAVO on a great product! I will definitely consider NETGEAR for networking in the future!
