Best Decision!!

I recently purchased the new Orbi WiFi router with extender for our home. It came highly recommended by our Internet provider. We had been having many issues with speed and consistency with our previous router and the Orbi literally cleared all of them up immediately. Extremely easy to install and set up, took about five minutes and we have not had any issues since. After researching routers with extenders and some of the issues that go along with that we are more than pleased with the Orbi extender, virtually no extra work or passwords to set up. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

ORBI Whole Home AC2200 TRI-BA solved our problems.
WIFI in house, garage and yard was very slow and at times non-existent affecting TV's, I-Pad, I-Phones, etc. The family was giving me heat for a solution. So, I Researched WIFI's and went to Best Buy and purchased this NETGEAR system. Measured WIFI speed in rooms, garage and yard for reference. Easily installed the system. Remeasured speeds and our WIFI problems were solved with speed improvements of 32% and 5 bars all around the house, garage and yard. Sweet! The ORBI is also esthetically appealing for any room too. Quite satisfied.

I'll make this real simple for the reader'¦the Orbi entire house Wi-Fi system is 5 Stars. If I could give it an additional star, I would. Set up is easy, you could do it yourself, no matter what your skill set. My skill set is close to zero and I had the system working in 30 to 45 minutes. I live in a three-story home on the side of a mountain and our cable for the Internet is fed into the basement. With the satellite unit(s), it's just as if I had the exact same Internet on every floor. The signal strength is at the highest on every level of my home. This product is simply amazing!

Orbi mesh router with satellites

Had regular modem with router and the better extender downstairs but does not even compare to the Netgear Orbi product. You get the bars AND the sustained speed. Have a front guest room in a two story house and without it, the smart TV would not work. Now it work without any problem. I am not a tech guy but this was worth the price tag and easy to setup. If you have a router from cable company (Xfinity), just call tech department and tell them you want to put The modem in 'bridge' mode because you are setting your own personal router and not the built in one that comes with their modem.

Solved my problems

This replaced earlier Netgear router with extender. My favorite feature is the single SSD. This has greatly simplified use of my various devices: Echo; AV equipment connections; Harmony hub; 11 smart plugs etc. I have had only 1 disconnect since installing and that may have been because a cat brushed against a plug and it wasn't making full contact. House is 3 story, a little over 4000 sq ft. Main unit is at office on middle floor with one of the two 'satellite' units on both other floors. I have not done systematic testing, but as far as I am aware, I have coverage everywhere in the house.

Great router!

Some slight adjustments to be made in figuring out how to connect 2.4ghz band only devices but after it's all said and done great coverage! Solid connection and reliability! And the automatic switch between TRI BAND wifi ensures you get the fastest connection for your distance anywhere in the house! The router alone would be enough to cover my house but the satellite system gives an extra boost just in case things weren't fast enough for you! Great experience so far! Runs every smart device and streaming service on our many devices in our home and without breaking a sweat! Great job Netgear !!

Great Product

Installation went good but I wouldn't recommend changing the network name and password until you complete the initial setup and all updates are done. I no longer have dead zones and I get consistent high speeds throughout my house even when 10+ devices are connected. The app is basic but functions well after the recent update. Overall the Orbi is a good performer, it's almost as if the mesh network has integrated seamlessly with my house. It makes me forget about the worry of losing connectivity. We have a combination of Apple and Samsung products and they all stay connect without any issues.

Before installing it, I was not even able to get a connection in the garden room less than 20 feet from the router. Now, I can get a solid and fast connection not only in the garden room but up on the other side of the yard as well.
The Orbi was easy to set up and in no time at all, I was grinning from ear to ear as I was connected on multiple devices no matter where I went in and outside of the house.
This is most definitely worth the investment no matter what the size of your house.
