Orbi Home Wifi

I moved into a new home, 2 floors and about 2500 sq. feet. My router is in my office on the 2nd floor and the signal was weak downstairs. I downloaded an app to check the speed and it was running at 45-50mps. I bought the Orbi and found it very easy to install. I placed the main unit in the office and the satellite on the 1st floor. The speed increased from 50 to 235 and the signal is strong through the entire house. My wife and kids have no problem accessing through their laptops or printing to the printer from any room in the house. It's been a great upgrade for the new house!

Excell by product thus far!

Real stable WiFi throughout the three floors of my townhouse. Before I set it up I had dead zones in my basement and top floor. Setup was somewhat easy. My only complaint is that there is a bit of guessing on how far you can plug the satélites. U have to plug them in and wait about 5 minutes for it to connect and light up letting g u know if it's within range. That took about 30 minutes. Just anotó t but easy. I love all the conciencie the features offer as far as checking g WiFi connection on each device and testing WiFi speeds. Overall 5 stars a month into using it.

I have had the Orbi Router with 2 Satellites combined with a Netgear nighthawk modem for about a year. 5,000 + sqr/ft house that is cut up funny. We have 13 + connections to it at any one time; TVs, I phones, Xbox, Echo, security system, printer...... Worked well but we had to reset the system a lot. Two weeks ago we had a total system failure. Spectrum came out and cleaned up some static in the line and we had to go into the orbi system and update the channel; huge difference and working better than ever. Great product but I need to add a fourth satellite to reach the new addition.

Reliable and Seamless

I was considering adding some access points in my house with a wired backhaul. I figured out that, by the time I spent the money and put in the time to complete the wiring in the house, it would have cost about the same as simply going to a mesh system. I also eliminates the hassle of problem devices that don't always switch between AP's cleanly. I won't have quite as much bandwidth as the dedicated wired network, but for 99% of my use cases, this is fine. I also like the fact that the network config is not cloud dependent and I can still manage the network from the local web interface.

Have been using various Netgear products for more than 11 years and their ability to lead the market in terms of innovation and quality consistency is really great. In that aspect the orbi series is a major leap forward. Setting this system up was fairly simple and if you know the dead spots in your home already identifying the location for the satellites wouldn't be a major issue. If not go ahead with your standard assumption based on the distance between the routers. The app is really user intuitive and if you are a parent, the Circle app with all the parental controls is a value-add.

Ridiculously Good

I was skeptical of this router for no really good reason. I originally bought a nighthawk for my home and, although it was good when very close, you could barely get a signal in our basement. I returned it and got the Orbi. It is nothing short of spectacular.
The speed is outstanding and it covers every square inch of my large, four story home. Even in the furthest corner of my home, I frequently get wireless speeds of 250 Mb/s or more. 4K content on my Apple TV plays with no buffering and no lag.
For those who don't need to tinker and just want a great router, this is it.

With the amount of devices we use in my house this system has been a game changer! I used to experience buffering on a daily basis with our streaming devices. I would have to shut another device down to be able to stop the buffering. The Orbi also allows me full control over my 3 children's screen time. I'm able to set a time limit as well as a 'downtime' limit where the device won't connect to the internet. I would 'HIGHLY' recommended the Orbi system to anyone using multiple devices at once. I purchased the 4000 sq foot system for my 3100 sq foot house and it works great.

Best Wifi Ever!

Seriously! I have never been so happy with a wifi set-up in my life. I have previously done the rent from the cable company and finally decide to stop renting and purchase. So I bought a combo router/modem. I was so unhappy with the speed and the limited distance for the wireless. I did a lot of research and time and time again the top reviews sent to Orbi. I am so happy with my purchase. I also bought a separate Netgear modem that was incredibly easy to set-up. The Orbi set-up and installation was just as easy as they describe. It was and still is amazing. I couldn't be happier!
