Easy Setup, Great Signal

Bought this device with no real expectations because I live in a old house with tick floors and walls that have been an issue getting reliable signal to each bedroom and common rooms. Was currently using a Netgear router/modem that worked well close to the device but not in the far corners of my house. I have 20 devices used for web browsing, streaming and to operate my smart home devices. Have not had buffering errors on streaming services and speed tests have shown 5 times as fast as previous router/modem.

Bought this to deal with WiFi weakness in certain areas of the house using just one standard router. All I can say is I am very pleased with ORBI. It was simple to set up and the signal strength is awesome and consistent in all areas now. Now I can use my devices anywhere in and around my house, inside and outside. Especially happy that I get full strength in my favorite room, an attached sunroom, where signal was practically non-existent due to the distance from my original router and the layout of the house. No longer a problem with ORBI on the job!

Orbi for Workshop

We recently purchased the Orbi (3 units) system to extend wifi out to a detached workshop. The system was very easy to install. The main unit is in a lower level of a split on the north end of the home. We put one of the satellite units in the middle of the home on the main level near the kitchen and the third one is in the corner of the workshop closest to the home (about 30 feet away from the south end of the home). The signal is strong all over the home and in the workshop. I have used it for streaming TV shows into the workshop with no issue.

Easy setup. Great coverage

I bought this to cover a 2 story house and a backyard mancave. The setup was very easy. Only took a couple minutes to boot up the first time and get running. Synching the satellite was also very easy. I now have full coverage on my 1/3rd acre lot, both front and back yard, as well as full signal and speed in my mancave that is 50 ft away from the main house. This solved all of my wifi dead zones and connectivity issues. The dedicated backhaul on this unit makes sure you get full speed from the satellite location. Get this unit. You won't be disappointed.

Finally!!!

I could open an electronics store with all the routers and extenders I've bought over the years to try to get good WiFi reception throughout my house. Not a huge house (~ 2500 sf) but for some reason could never get reception in all areas until Orbi. I now have great reception everywhere and even out on my deck which was never even a passing thought before. I was also amazed by how simple it was to set up. You literally take it out of the box and plug it in and shezam....WiFi. If you've had reception problems I definitely recommend you give it a try.

Best Router I had

The netgear Orbi router was very easy to setup. And pairing the repeater process was flawless. Before I got the router I used the WiFi off the modem. My house having six memebers in it each with iPhones and MacBooks meant that the 2.4Ghz bandwidth was always congested with traffic. My ISP router configer website was also horrible with very little control on anything. What pushed me to get this was the fact that I noticed that there was no QoS options on the website. The netgear interface is very good and allows you to do things like Mac filtering easily.

Excellent coverage through house

I was very pleasantly surprised with my new Orbi WiFi system. I get excellent reception throughout my 2 story home. This system is great and very easy to install and operate. It took me no more than 15 minutes to setup and begin enjoying my internet connection.
I would definitely recommend to other people due to its simplicity, I'm still amazed as to how quickly I was able to setup this unit and I've owned other Netgear products before which are not as easy to install. I'm glad to see Netgear is moving in the right direction with its products. Thank you!

Coverage Everywhere

I like these units, They fit in just about any room and have speeded up the coverage on the the side of my home that is opposite the main router considerably. With old lathe and plaster walls the signal would get through but slower and weaker. Now the house is well covered. I think I still need an outdoor unit or at least one more satellite to improve coverage enough to allow the security camera in my detached garage to work properly. The only issue I had was figuring out how to get some of my legacy home security systems in 2.4 Ggz to work on the network
