This system works well for large homes where a traditional single wifi router does not provide enough range to cover all rooms. The system uses a dedicated wireless backhaul band to connect the satellites to the base unit. With a recent firmware update it can now also be set up for wired backhaul if you desire to set up a distant satellite outside of the wireless band range. I have not encountered any problems with the system. I would recommend this system to anyone desiring a high performance large range mesh wifi system.

if your looking for a new system or something to replace your old one then this is as good as it gets. I have had a few different types before but nothing with this ease and power. The system sets up in about 10 minutes through your phone. Their app takes you through the steps pretty easy. What impresses me the most is the range in which you don't lose download or upload speed. I have a 3000 square foot concrete warehouse and this thing is giving me perfect wifi at my neighbors unit 5 buildings down. Just incredible.

My Orbi Experience

Before purchasing the Orbi Router and satellites (by Netgear) my internet speed was horrible. My provider had me set at 42Mpbs download and 4-5Mbps upload speeds. However due to the distance from my providers router to where my TV was, I was only getting download speeds of 5Mpbs or less which caused sever buffering when trying to watch online or downloading movies. Once I set up Orbi, I was enjoying constant download speeds of 45Mbps plus! I am very happy with my purchase and will continuously trust products by Netgear.

Loving this mesh system

Upgraded my dual modem/router to this Orbi and DOCSIS modem. Works like a charm. I can finally use my laptop in other rooms without having to worry about the connection dropping. The WiFi works throughout my 4 BR house flawlessly. The biggest selling point was how easy it was to setup smart home feature like my iHOME alarm clock that needs WiFi to work. I returned my google home because it wouldn't connect properly to 2.4 devices. I'm also considering getting the outdoor satellite so I can use a smart tv in the backyard.

Love this set!

Before we purchased this router for our 2500 square foot home we couldn't get signal on one end of our house? We couldn't habe streaming services and our son couldn't fully enjoy his ps4. When we decided to purchase another I did a lot of research and sewn many good reviews on the orbi. Having the satellite makes a world of difference. Now we can all be on the internet and still have plenty of strength. I don't have to worry about the other half of our house being a dead zone anymore. Love this system and highly recommend it!

Upgraded from the Nighthawk Router due to some dead spots in our 4,000 square foot home. Those spots are no more and I really can't believe it. In our neighborhood, we can only get 100mb speed and even the the dead zones I'm averaging 90. That's with a wife and 3 kids who are constantly on Netflix and playing online with their PS4s. Our neighbor has the same 100mb internet service but purchased the google mesh product. He's only averaging 40mb speed. Such an easy setup and the app works great. Would highly recommend!

Orbi is amazing

I live in a rural area where internet is unavailable except via wireless hotspots. The hotspot signal was a great speed, if you were standing on top of it, however if you moved into another room there was nothing. I ordered the 2 satellite Orbi, put one upstairs and one in the rooms on the other side of the house and everyone can now easily connect. The Orbi app is excellent, I can monitor usage, see devices that are connected and set up parental controls for the children. Overall, exceptionally happy with the Orbi system.

Orbi Home WiFi system

After a year of dealing with slow wifi from our AT&T gateway device, I made the switch to the Orbi system and it has and still is working great from day 1. My parents or sisters don't complain anymore, we can finally stream multiple shows and movies at the same time without interruptions. Honestly a great product and regardless of brand, you should definitely switch to a whole home wifi system. I found the Orbi to be a great value given the 3-pack when compared to the Velop by Linksys. Great product and will always recommend it
