Great router.

I've had my ORBI RBR40 system for a week. It took me a few attempts following the instructions to get it set up which was frustrating. It is also fairly expensive. But when the installation was successful, the system has outperformed my expectations on performance and dependability. The app on my phone to control it is simple to use and has worked well. I would recommend this system to people with larger homes to cover with WiFi.

Orbit install and results

I installed Orbi router and 1 satellite. Installation and set up was straightforward. The phone app made set up easy.
I also disabled my ATT Wi-Fi on their router.
I now have great coverage throughout my 2 story house. I went from 12 mbps to 30 mbps download speed and from 2 mbps upload to 5. Those are before and after #s.
Was able to connect all my devices easily.
Great product IMHO. I highly recommend.
Next is dsl modem.

It works

I have to say I had my doubt when I made the purchase from the store. But an hour after I got home, after a pretty easy setup and switched all my devices to the new router, running numerous speed tests in between, I have to say, this does work. I have 75M/75M, before I can only get that with wired connections, now, I can get that speed from almost every corner my house, and I have a colonia style house with my route in the basement.

I bought this to cover all the dead spots in my house. It exceeded my expectations by not only covering those spots but it keeps my high speeds with minimal loss. Example, I have 400mbps down and the farthest point which was about 100 feet away dropped to maybe 390mbps. This mesh technology is incredible. It beats extenders because it was constantly routing itself to feed the spots that needed more bandwidth. Not disappointed at all.

Great Improvement

Was experiencing too many dropouts with my older router system. Tried Extenders, tried Power Line signaling, etc. Finally my wife had had enough interruption watching her favorite Netflex/Prime movies. I had just bought the Netflex Arlo system so I decided to give Orbi a 7 Day trial run. Needless to say, the 7 days have past and we are still enjoying uninterrupted movies. Like the old Chinese saying goes: Happy Wife...Happy Husband.

Awesome solution for Dead Spots

Our Ranch house with finished basement had too many dead spots and continual lagging and drops. After much research, and ever skeptical, we purchased the Orbi AC2200. The set-up was a breeze and in less than 10-minutes we were downloading at speeds consistently above 450 with no dead spots, lags or dropouts. Admittedly it's only been a week but I could not be any more impressed with the Orbi and have already recommended to mates.

Claims may be ambitious

Have router and 2 satellites. Don't think it would cover the 5000 ft. house they claim, but it works great in our 2500 ft home in spite of the adobe walls. And I can't see any speed loss, it is quick. Satellites are a little slow to connect but they work great once connected. Don't use orbilogon.com to connect, it sometimes redirects to other sites. Use the 192.168.1.1 IP address, it always works. Not cheap, but worth it I think.

Fast WiFi system

I have an internet plan of 300 mbps. With my current router I was only seeing roughly 80 mbps and I would always lose WiFi connection on the second level of my house. Now I wanted to take advantage of the 300 mbps plan well as the WiFi coverage so I bought the Orbi WiFi system. It gets me to 200 plus mbps which is amazing as well as a full house coverage where I don't drop connection anymore. I highly reccomend buying this product.
