The Orbi is Future Gadget #9

I run a large laboratory with lots of gadgets that need to connect to the interwebs and the Orbi RBK33 provides a stable and powerful WiFi network. It was very easy to setup and the app is very useful to monitor the network. Every mad scientist should have one of these.

Impressive Coverage and Speed

I am using orbi Router and 2 Satellites in a fairly large home (4500 sq ft). So far the coverage and speed have been great. I have Xfinity 250 Mbps and with orbi I easily get 210-220 Mbps. With now added support for Ethernet backhaul the satellites can become more powerful.

What a difference this has made to our Wi-Fi! Our old system on its best day gave us downloads at 50-60 mps but now with Orbi we are in the 150-170 range! We are so pleased! With a household that streams almost everything this was one of the best purchases we have ever made!

Good WiFi mesh system

The Orbi system is good once up and running. Instructions could have been more detailed. Confusing as to which satellites you are getting (i.e. with Ethernet ports or without). Seems like devices on first floor keep syncing to main base and not the wall plugged in satellite.

Orbi wifi

The Orbi router is the easiest to hook up of any i've ever had. I live in a 3000 sq. ft. ranch style home and the wifi signal has no problem going through the walls to the far end and gives excellent service to everything thats connected to it. very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic improvement on all TVs

Previously I had a one year old router that was going from a high of 38 MB's download to a low of zero during peak TV hours. Now I am getting a high of 300 MB's to a low of 60+ on all 4 TV sets with excellent signal strength using the same modem! Fantastic improvement!

It truly is a plug and play system. We just had fiber installed to our home and we needed to upgrade to take advantage of the 250 up and 250 down service. Our Orbi delivers 280ish up and down throughout our entire house even with all the kids and grandkids on there devices.

I was using an access point second router connected by ethernet and wasnt able to get the same coverage i now get with the Orbi, simplfying my setup considerably and actually boosting my throughput. I wasnt sure it would be worth the investment but i am extremely satisfied.
