I was going to buy a less expensive 1080p, 60" television until I saw the picture quality on my 4K Samsung. It cannot be beat.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: cost

Has great features and awesome picture. The one problem was the unit was DOA, would not power on. Samsung tech had to be dispatched to replace main power boardd.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality

Performance is great. Picture quality is amazing.
Display, Operation user friendly. Connecting to apps, other devices is at ease.

4K UHD HU 8550 - 60"

We spent considerable time researching and viewing all major brands of 4k HD TVs over the past 2 months. The Samsung HU 8550 became our final selection because of it's picture quality (standard HD and 4k content), ease of setup, easily accessible additional features (such as 4k content on YouTube), and design.
We are very pleased with our purchase.

The TV has great features. The 4K picture is amazing, although, it did take some adjustment out-of-the box to reduce the soap opera effect for my tastes. The only negative I can think of is navigation of some of the menu/features is a bit slow.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, help/tech support options

This is a feature rich smart TV. It has just about everything you could ask for, apps, web browsing, WiFi connectivity, 3D, and an amazing 4K picture. I love this TV for the most part. The only negative is it runs on the dark side. I have tried to boost the brightness and contrast but I still end up with a picture that tends to be a little dark on the shadows. The price has dropped considerably on the 4K TVs and this was at the high end. I do think this is an exceptional value for all the features. That is why I am giving it 4 stars.
Pros: feature rich
Cons: picture is a bit dark
