Bluetooth ruins an otherwise great product

The sound is great, crisp and clean with great fidelity. However, the product is ruined by the absolutely abysmal design choice of foregoing any and all options to turn off or protect the bluetooh connection. My speakers keep picking up connections from all my neighbours, it is downright frustrating. I wish I had read these other negative reviews sooner...
I have no idea how could such a renowned company allow for such a design flaw. One single button, that is all it would have taken. Or a software to set a security code. But no, once the speakers are turned on they are ripe for the taking for anyone in the vicinity. I couldn't even connect my own phone at one point because another connection was occupying it. What am I supposed to do now, wrap it in tin foil?
Dear Harman/Kardon, next time you want to cheap out on buttons (on your otherwise not-at-all-cheap product), at least have the courtesy to show on the package that the product is not recommended in an apartment complex or college dorm.

Sound quality is great and it looks good. However it doesn't have any sort of restriction on who can connect to it, so I can't use it because someone else keeps connecting to it and keeps blasting swedish pop music. There's no way to bypass this. Even though I'm mainly using the SoundSticks through the audio jack plugged into my TV, the audio they play just plays on top of mine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful design / Bold Sound

I have been listening to classical and jazz on the sound sticks for a month and I am very impressed with its musicality. They fill a small room with clear crisp sound in the mid and high range and the sub woofer provides plenty of base notes. I would prefer the volume to be a dial switch and the power button to be located on the left or right channel speakers rather than on the sub woofer unit. Also the blue tooth and power on indicator lights would be better if both could be turned off for those people who want to fall asleep listing to music. That being said, I would recommend the sound sticks to anyone who appreciates design and music in the same space.

I must tell you if you are looking for a stand alone speaker for your IPhone the Hartman Kardon Sound Stick Wireless is A great Choice Excellent Bass plus Left and right speakers I would highly recommend them.

Major design flaw.

I hope you like your neighbouhrs' music and candy crush noises. They can just connect without anything you can do about it, rendering your system useless.

I have had these for over 2 years and LOVE them. The sound quality is much better than anything I have tested (I have used over 12 different computer speakers) nothing compairs. You will not be disappointed.
