Wireless turned out to be wired!

I ordered the SoundSticks Wireless and that's what the box said on the outside, but inside there were wires everywhere. Nothing was wireless or bluetooth as advertised.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cool... but not "wireless"

These are nice speakers. Unfortunately, they aren't truly wireless -- they must be plugged in to work. However, they are bluetooth (which is wireless by definition, right?). I have the Onyx Studio 5 and am hoping they pair for an even better experience.

Marketing "Wireless" was a disappiontment

I recently purchased Soundsticks Wireless. I first want to say that the score for the products sound and actual design is not reflected in this review. I would have give 5 stars in that the speakers produce a rich and great sound and the design is great.
My disappointment is with the company not being clear on it’s marketing collateral which to those less audio tech savvy gives the impression the satellite (stick) speakers are wireless.

Part of the decision to buy was also due to the reputation of Harmon Kardon. A name I was familiar with since my youth as my brother was very much into audio equipment. I’m am also into technology but audio/speakers is not the tech I’m hugely familiar with so I initially looked at the Hardon Karman website because I had heard of the company. I also knew they have a good reputation in the market, reinforced by the companies belief in ethics and integrity first. With this being the case for those who are not familiar with tech of this kind I felt that the company could be much clearer in terms of how it marketed this product on its own website.

I appreciate wording can be tech specific, but does it also mean that visual marketing also has to show satellite speakers with never any wires connecting them to the sub. Even to the point that the pictures people have sent in sharing their own homes and placement of their speakers remarkably also not showing wires or very well placed which is something I cant believe is purely coincidence. So for those like me who need some clarity on audio terminology I’ve detailed the following to help;
Definition of “Wireless self powered satellite speakers and Subwoofer system” is
Wireless ( Bluetooth wireless connectivity that is paired (pre-associated) with one or more smartphones, tablets, iPods or computers)
Self-powered ( has a built-in amplifier)
Satellite Speakers (Able to be placed in various locations often designed to be used with a matching subwoofer) and subwoofer system.

not ….Small speakers which your able to place away from the main sub woofer thanks to being wireless. Finally it would help detail how long the speaker cables are so that people are aware when buying the speakers how much length they can place the speakers away from the sub.

Speakers cut off & Bluetooth no working

Hi, I bought a unit a few weeks ago & it seem not to cut off completely every 30 seconds.
I have to switch the sub off, then on again & it will play another 30 seconds before it cuts off again. As for the bluetooth, it does not show at all. as if its disable. Can you please advise on this?

Nice feature but cannot prevent unauthorise access

I got this as a gift. It is the best looking speaker I have ever seen and can easily fit into your interior design. The sound, especially the base, is perfect. The bluetooth access is making it very easy to use. However, this ease of access is also making it hard to prevent unauthorised access. Anyone with bluetooth can chip in and interrupt the music playing. This design flaw alone can drag down a lot its overall rating...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
