GOOD KEYBOARD

It is nice to be able to type faster and with a little feeling. Missing keylight but maybe that can be overcome in time as you actually feel they keys. The screen size is also good on the S8 and the whole system screen is resized to fit so all apps and games will run perfectly. Expensive product though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best of both worlds, perfect keyboard

the samsung keyboard cover is a perfect solution. it provides the best of both worlds for those who need a keyboard with no compromise on either the keyboard or phone. it works seamlessly. i've used it for many years. the only issue with it is that samsung is no longer making it available for its phones. as a result, we've been "stuck" with the galaxy s8 -- which while still great phone, won't get upgraded past android 9 (no more security updates, etc.) .
samsung: please provide a similar solution for the s22! you came up with a unique design that fully addresses a problem for a lot of us.

This accessory is so good it's worth getting a Samsung just for this keyboard. Everyone who sees me use it wants one! I can type any time day or night because they keys become second nature.

I have had this case for seven years and love it! I'm afraid to upgrade phones and lose the use of my attachable keyboard!!

Should make for the whole S8 line of phones

I wish they made this keyboard case for the S8 Active. I miss the 3 buttons that the S7 Active had so this would be a good alternative. Samsung should also make an update that makes the bottom half of the phone still light up when the keyboard is attached and design the keys so the backlight of the phone shines through the keys making it visible for night use.

Keyboard does not light up

I have the keyboard cover for the Samsung S7 and this one is pretty much the same thing. The case itself makes the phone easier to carry and it also looks good too, but you can't use the keyboard in the dark because it doesn't light up. For the price samsung is asking that is a deal breaker for me. This keyboard cover is only useful if you want a stylish cover with physical buttons. It also takes up a good amount of the screen so definitely keep that in mind. The buttons are responsive when you type but I bought mine for the back cover alone.
Pros: Lightweight, stylish, easy to use and hold
Cons: Did not meet expectations, keyboard does not light up, not durable, too expensive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has some major showstoppers

There is no backlight so typing at night is not an option.
Does not work with Samsung pay. You need to remove the keyboard in order to use Samsung pay. Switching back and forth can be annoying. It also doesn't feel like an solid snapping mechanism.
The buttons don't work that well. I find it more cumbersome then helpful. I feel like it causes the phone to lag.
I had high hopes for this. I really wanted it to work. The S8 plus would have been perfect as it has the larger screen (height). You don't really compromised on real estate on day in and day out usage. Unfortunately these issues make me not want to use it. They were so close to completely dominating the Blackberry.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, no backlight, can't use samsung pay with the keyboard, just doesn't feel smooth
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
