Handsome addition to my kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this stove has performed very well and as expected. The special features are more numerous than your average glass cooktop, for example, it has a special hot zone on the right front eye designed specifically for boiling water faster (like an eye within the eye) and depending on which way you turn the control determines if all or part of that eye is used--pretty nifty! My only two complaints are the number of scratches I have seen develop in the eye and mostly around the non-cooking portions of the cooktop, which could come from the surface of pots or scrubbing it clean. The latter of which I doubt because I rarely use a razor or highly abrasive pads. I think coming from a white glass cooktop which, while it ALWAYS seemed to need cleaning and was quite ez to look burnt and have browned from just regular cooking, you at least couldn't see scratches. With the black, you don't see burnt on spots or browned areas but you can see scratches when you're looking at it in certain angles or light. So it's a tradeoff, not sure if there's a such thing as a scratch free material or coating that can be used in the future but I feel like the black is so handsome up against the stainless steel trim so I wouldn't switch back for anything! The only other minor complaint I have is the eye control indicators have pictures instead of words like back left or right front so you always have to use your brain for a couple seconds fo ensure you're turning on the right eye! Again that could be a thing for me bc I had different in the past (shoulder shrug) all in all I still give it 5 stars because it was made well and performs well and of course anybody buying this or any appliance no matter how big or small it is or how much you think you know or how smart you are...do yourself a favor and READ THE MANUAL! It always has SOME KIND OF INFO that you may not be aware of as far as operating your appliance at the highest level of efficiency and proficiency. Also, register your products with the company! Okay, I'm done.

Out of the box Broken

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottom element will not turn on. I called warranty on 22nd they were out on the 3rd only to find they didn't have the parts and it will be on order. So I will have 3-4 weeks with a brand new appliance that doesn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks great but doesn't work!
