I am very happy with this new shaver. The heads are similar to my old shaver. I tried to change the old shaver heads but they were a different design that did not provide a close shave. The new replacement heads also pinched.
Very Happy with this razor. Only complaint so far is no travel bag.

Not only have these products been very reliable and efficient, but Philips backs it's product 110%. I had a problem with my last razor (the on and off switch) and Philips replaced it immediately. Philips also sent me a postage paid box to send the old one back. They made it very simple ... I was totally amazed!

I bought this to use around a new, chin-based beard and clean up the sides of my face. It works well on one-day's growth or after not shaving for a week. There is very little tugging or pain on my skin. It takes a few passes on some rounded areas to get the whiskers. Cleaning and recharging the unit is easy.
Pros: no pain, easy to clean
Cons: may require multiple passes

First off, let me say, I was given this shaver to review. I have been using Norelco battery powered shavers for over twenty-five years. I dry shave on a daily basis. My first impression of this shaver was that it seemed just right as far as its size. It fit nicely in my hand and was easy to maneuver around my face. It was lighter in weight than some of the larger models. I followed the instructions to charge the unit before I used it. The charging happened quicker than I had expected. Normally, I would charge my shaver overnight or all day. This one charged in less than a few hours. I must also say I used this new product for over a week daily to form my opinion. That one charge lasted over that weeks period of time. To try the stubble guard I allowed my beard to grow out a few days and then tried it. It did a good job of trimming down my facial hair to an even length. The length was cut just enough to allow it to show without it being too long. It would be nice if there were a few length options, but the one that is provided worked well. Using the shaver without the stubble guard gave me a smooth clean cut that lasted. The quality of the product was very good. I was not afraid of getting it wet and found myself cleaning it under water almost daily, even though I really didn`t have to. The attached clipper worked well to clean up my side burns and trim the hair back over my ears. I do wish this model came with a small travel pouch and that way I could easily keep everything together, especially on a trip. I never tried the shaver under wet shaving conditions because I normally don`t shave that way. I would recommend it to others. It was easy to use and clean. The battery lasted a long time and it provided a nice quick clean shave.
Pros: battery charge, lightweight, clean cut, nice sized
Cons: wish there were more stubble guard lengths, no travel pouch
