I got a free sample of this product for review. Overall the experience has been good. The product is nice, compact enough, works great. There is one thing I noticed: the product is kind of noisy, compared with others. The speed and quality of shave is good. Easy to clean, charge lasts long and charges fast.
Pros: fast to use
Cons: noisy

Better than my other electric razor, in my opinion.

Not too sure if it's because of the circular rotary shaver design versus the bar design as found on most other shavers, but this one does a really good job at trimming hair and not missing any. Of course, this shaver does not get as close of a shave as a real razor does.
All in all, the battery life lasts a while between charges. The design makes it very easy to clean, and even the rotary shavers can be taken out/apart and cleaned.
Works great for situations where shaving with water and a real razor is impractical.
Pros: long lasting battery life, practical quick alternative to wet shaving, design is easy to clean and maintain

Very satisfied

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I had been vacillating between an electric shaver and straight razor for quite some time and I think this product has finally converted me over permanently. As a teenager, I used an electric shaver and then switched over to a straight razor when I started my first job after college since I needed a closer shave. Over the ensuing years, I`ve never been satisfied due to a myriad of reasons. The primary one being that a straight razor always left me with an uncomfortable burning sensation for at least an hour or two after use. There would also be an accompanying redness that was unsightly. It got to be so bad that I dared not shave on a day with a big event like a presentation, wedding or interview. What I would do is shave two days beforehand and then use tweezers to pluck any stray stubble the morning of. The other major annoyance of a razor was the nicks and cuts that I would get from time to time, especially if I was rushed or did a dry shave without any cream in the shower.
Enter the Norelco Shaver. I can now confidently shave even on the morning of a big event, knowing that the shave would be close enough and not leave my face with battle wounds. What I like most is that you don`t have to apply heavy pressure with this device. A light touch is all you need. It`s very compact, ergonomic and fits in the palm of my hand. The heads are very easy to clean with the accompanying brush; I do this every other day and it`s very satisfying to sweep the hair out of the blades.
All in all, I am a very happy user and would recommend this to anyone looking for a shaver that works with you, not fight you tooth and nail every inch of the way.
I received the shaver in exchange for a written review after a week of use. I`ve been a regular user of an electric foil shaver for a long time except for one instance when I bought a rotary shaver during a Black Friday sale. I knew what to expect and wanted to see how much has changed since that time and to compare with the foil shavers I`ve been using. I was very surprised and glad the shaver was made in the Netherlands. I believe my previous one was also made there. The hand fit is slim and tactile feel is nice. It`s not all plastic. The charging port is on the bottom. Charging was quick for my initial use. It does not come with a travel case, which my previous one included nor a cleaning brush. My first usage was what the directions said may happen. It takes time to adjust to a new shaving method. My face still felt scratchy on my first shave. However it did shave my difficult areas along my jawline below my earlobes. This is where I get whiskers that my foil had trouble shaving and need a concerted effort to pass over the longer hairs. With this rotory shaver I just did a few circular passes and they were gone. The shaver was also much quieter. I`m used to the loud buzz of foils. After my third or fourth use, I was very satisfied with how close the shaver performed. My upper lip area was perfectly smooth. My jawline and neck areas were also clean. As a right handed person it was easier to do the circular motion on my left side. I liked that the shaver got all my longer hairs that are at random places with no problems at all. And, as close as the shave was I didn`t get any razor burn feeling. Cleaning was simple. Just press a button and the top pops open. I have it a rinse under my faucet and left it open to air dry. I went one extra step and took apart the screen and cutters. Be careful not to drop them down the drain. The foil screen had some of my hair tangled in them. That`s because I have relatively long hair past my earlobes. It takes some time to put all the parts together because you`re dealing with three shaver heads. I like the smaller shave heads versus a foil, I`ve made a hole in one foil. They`re more delicate. I`m really happy with this Norelco, it exceeded my expectations. If any change I would make is simpler individual head and cutter maintenance.
Pros: wet and dry shaver, quiet
Cons: maintenance could be an issue

Please Note: I received this product as a free sample, but this is my very honest and unbiased review of my use with this Norelco electric shaver.
OVERALL: Overall, this product did not quite meet my expectations as a whole, which I`ll give more details below. However, there are some benefits to this shaver nonetheless. Overall, I really like the battery life, exterior design, and water proof feature, but the lack of efficient/quick shaving with this razor makes it only a 3 star/`Average` razor for me.
BATTERY LIFE: I have to say, I was more than impressed with the longevity of the battery on this electric shaver. I only shave about 5 minutes per morning, but normally with other razors, the battery dies after a week, at a maximum. With this razor, I have not charged it yet and it has been about a week and a half now (with shaving every single morning).
COMFORT OF RAZOR/HANDLE: I really like the sleekness of this razor and the comfort of it in my hand. The grip on the handle is unlike other razors I`ve used, and it is easy to grip, even when using in the shower.
USEFULNESS: One of the best features of this razor is that you can shave in the shower, and clean it with water in the sink, which is a huge time savor and big perk. Plus, it is a small razor that you can easily pack in a travel toiletry bag and take on-the-go. Overall, it`s very useful in that you can take it anywhere and use it anywhere, including the shower. Plus it`s easy to clean in the sink, without buying a separate cleaning solution.
EFFICIENCY: One of the biggest drawbacks of this razor, which caused me to rate it overall as 3 stars `Average`, is that I don`t feel like it is an efficient razor in shaving even just small amounts of stubble. As I stated earlier, I shave every morning and therefore don`t have a lot of stubble on my face and neck. However, even when I make sure the razor is cleaned, it seems to take a lot longer than it should to create a smooth feel on my face and neck. Unfortunately, I have used other electric razors that are much faster at providing an optimal result (i.e. smooth skin feel in a limited amount of time). Time is of the essence for me, especially in the mornings, so the lack of efficiency is very unfortunate.
DURABILITY: I have only had the razor for almost 2 weeks now, but it seems to be pretty durable and hold up well so far. It is very easy to clean, by opening the razor lid and emptying the debris and cleaning with water. It holds a good charge, as noted above, and so far seems to be a good quality razor based on exterior design.
Pros: sleek design and high level of comfort, waterproof in the shower, battery life is superb, very portable
Cons: efficiency/performance of the razor is lacking

This is an easy and safe product for my brother (dementia patient)to use

I have given this product to my brother for several years now. He is able to shave his face and I'm able to trim his mustache with great ease. I know that he will be safe and cause no harm to himself as he uses it daily. My only concern is that he presses firmly on his face and the blades wear out within a three month time period. It is less expensive to purchase a new shaver than replace the blades.
Pros: safe and easy
Cons: with firm pressure on the face blades wear out, quickly

Great for everyday use

First, I was sent a free shaver to review. Good or bad, I don`t sugarcoat.
I`ve had electric shavers before and used one regularly before this was sent to me. I have never felt that an electric would outperform a blade, and I still find that. If I`m going on a date it`s got to be a blade to shave with.
On the other hand, this Norelco makes a pretty good daily shaver. I like that the trimmings go into the head. I have a foil style now that a lot of it ends up in the sink or on my shirt (if I`m using it on the way to or at work). The instructions note that you should use it for a few weeks so your face gets used to it and that`s what it took. The first two or three shaves I had some razor burn but now it`s all good.
It`s a rechargeable. The manual says it`s about an hour use for an hour charge. That`s about two weeks of every day use before needing to recharge it and I got more than that out of it. I`m guessing it`ll go down over time like most batteries do but for now it`s great. It would be really great if it charged with USB or a common cord but it doesn`t.
The grip feels good for a large hand. A friend who I had look at it said it fit his hand well and his are smaller than mine. It`s light, has a trimmer on the back, the single button for on/off is in the grip and it`s easy to use, can be used with or without shaving creme (I always use them dry), and the button to flip up the blades to clean it is easily seen and used. It feels well constructed and it`s quiet. I can shave in an open door office without being noticed.
It comes with a protective cover for the blades. I like that since it gets thrown into the pocket of the gym bag usually. It also has a sort of guard that leaves your beard a certain length. It makes me think of the Miami Vice look. Not my style, but hey, it`s an extra that comes with it.
All in all I`ve found that I`ll use this one instead of the foil style I had. It`s a lot better than the foil one but date nights still require a blade.
Pros: light, long battery life, quiet, easy to use
Cons: proprietary cord

Gererally a great shaver...

I was tasked with writing a product review on the Norelco Shaver 3600 and for my efforts I received a free Electric Norelco 3600, 3560/88 shaver. The timing was great for me as I had been thinking of buying a new one. Fist off the shaver is not all that different from the older model and has a similar feel and shave.
Performance wise, this shaver works as it should and shaves fairly close (dry shave) with plenty of power but I tend to have to go over the areas a few times to get a close shave which leaves my face a little burned up. Too be fair all electric shaver tend to burn my face and this one is no exception. Using the shaver wet seemed to help with the burning but to me it seems weird to use a shaver in the shower. The trimmer pops up and works fairly well on my sideburns. I would say this feature hasn`t changed all that much from previous models. This unit has a stubble guard as well and works as advertised. However, using this feature tends to yank out the occasional hair.
One thing I like is how easy it is to clean. You just pop open the top and rinse the blades. After two weeks i am still on the original charge so the battery seem to hold up well.
Overall, I am satisfied with the Shaver 3600 and would recommend it as well. I am curious though, why it would not come with a travel case.
