Great product and quality smart TV

I took a risk by setting up a tv provider to come hook up service before I bought a TV... I had my heart set on a Samsung and wanted to stay within my budget. I went to the electronics store and started looking at all the TV's side by side. To my surprise the LG 47" Google Generation 2 smart TV (otherwise known as the 47G2) stood out with great clarity. The salesmen explained to me all the features and what it's capabilities were. He was very knowledgable in what the difference between 120hz vs 240hz.
At the end of the day it didn't matter because film only broadcast in 40hz and video 60hz, so any TV I bought above that I'd be fine with. In other words I didn't have some snake-oil salesmen pushing me to buy the most expensive tv on the market, in the 47" size.
I also was able to buy my 47G2 for less than 40% of the MSRP value.
The one complaint I have is with the remote; it's buttons don't uliminate in the dark, so although the TV has energy efficiency options I need some light to operate the remote until I memorize the buttons which is about a 4-6 week learning curve. If I was an android user it'd probably be instantaneously. Unfortunately I'm an iPhone/iPad junkie.
All told I love the TV and will probably be the only google product I ever buy because of its great quality and stellar picture.
Its extremely easy to setup, just use your gmail account to connect to it via hardwire or the convenient WIFI setting in the TV, hence it being a smart TV.

This tv hase great feature and I am very happy with the value for my money. It is very easy to use and works with all my other media products. I will buy LG again because of this product. The picture is wonderful.

best amount of features for the money

I bought this tv 2 monthes ago and I can honestly say it's the best tv I have ever owned. The amount of features is amazing! The 3d is so lifelike I will never pay to see a movie in 3d at the theater again.It was so easy to set up I was watching tv literally in 5 minutes.my only complaint is I wish the stand was a little taller because my soundbar sit's higher then the bottom of the tv but overall it is an excellent tv.

it seems to operate as stated, but it wont play some flash content from the web. it will not operate the Comcast hd box.

Quality 3D Television

As you browse around your local electronics store looking for a quality 3D televison (If that's what your into), you ask yourself questions such as if any television purchase would be right for you. I would suggest to you the LG 47G2 series! Beautiful, crystal clear picture, with less motion blur and the 3D is absolutely fantastic. The value for such a great tv was beyond me, because what I paid for it to me was worth a lot more. Your 3D experience will be mind blowing as you experience breath taking High Definition 3D picture. Watch out now! That spear in "Immortals 3D" the movie may poke you in the eye. And then of course you have the smart option, oh wait did i forget to mention that? That's right, all the apps that your heart can desire that is based in the android market, and many are free. My best recommendation would be to get this tv for yourself or as a gift for a loved one. This is the best quality tv available at sucha low price.
