Works well when it does. The wireless range is not more than 30-35 feet realistically. You must place the DVR close otherwise you'll miss footage. The construction is plastic; rather flimsy & should be beefier.I would not install one exposed to elements: direct sun light will certainly devastate the shell in no time. The picture is very good. The 1080p really makes a big leap from the 720 (worthless really). Defender should however include a manual :)

VERY EASY TO SET UP CAMERAS ARE CLEAR AND CONNECTED AUTOMATICALLY NO ISSUES SO FAR ONLY RUNNING ABOUT A WEEK SO ILL POST ANOTHER REVEIW IN A COUPLE MONTHS

I have used two of the cameras with the mating antenna/receiver and recorder for several months now. The cameras are mounted about 190 feet away from the receiving antenna and are in the line of sight. Reception is almost perfect with occasional brief interruptions (maybe a total of a minute a day). Both cameras are mounted on a boat shed over salt water in Florida and are only partly protected from rain and sun, but do occasionally get wet from a windy storm. Occasionally I have to restart the monitoring program because it stops, but the recordings have gone on uninterrupted. No other problems so far.

A bit wary

Bought this camera to add to my 3 camera system. However I have had 2 camera fails so far with both cameras showing a red/purple image during the day and not clear at all (night is fine) which points to an infrared defect somewhere. Has to be said that 1 was replaced and the other is in the process of being replaced. Maybe a bad batch and I am the unlucky one. Other than that system is just fine.

I originally bought a system with 2 cameras. I loved it so much I've now added more cameras. It's so easy to hook up and use. The picture is so clear and the night vision is amazing. Love it so much I've told my mom and sister they need to get one too. Great product!

Great camera, great service

Bought a year ago as part of 4 camera DVR package. Two failed after I tried to extend the antenna with coax. Defender replaced and they work great It’s a solid hardware package.
I would recommend this to a friend!
