Doesn't Take New XL Pods

The machine works alright, but it is very loud and the wheel mechanism in the top gets stuck sometimes. I am also very disappointed that it isn't compatible with the new XL Vertuo capsules. A couple years ago, there were XL capsules that made a 14 oz cup of coffee with this machine, and I don't understand why the newer XL capsules were not meant to work with this machine. I love a larger cup of coffee, and it's pretty ridiculous that I would have to buy a new machine to use the new XL capsules.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although our XL capsules are exclusively for our newer models, Vertuo Next, Creatista, and Pop+ machine’s, we are delighted to share the various capsule sizes can be programmed to a longer length pour. Once a capsule size has been re-programmed, all the other capsules of that size will brew at the new programmed quantity. We have Machine Experts that would be willing to assist you with your Vertuo machine. We offer a lifetime of troubleshooting via our toll-free number 800-562-1465. We’re available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for your convenience.

Great if you only want it for a year

coffee tastes good and its really convenient…for about a year. and then the machine stops reading the capsules, and you have to waste SO many capsules just to get your cup of coffee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible quality machines

I am on my second of these machines and now both have malfunctioned. My first started leaking, then stopped working completely. Now my second won’t brew and flashes red at me. I’ve tried everything. I maintain them carefully, using filtered water and descaling regularly. They are not built to last. I won’t be buying another. It’s a shame because I love the coffee and the convenience.

Our favorite coffee

Over those years we have had the opportunity to select a variety of coffees to suit our taste and we have never been disappointed. We just purchased a Nespresso machine for our daughter and her spouse for Christmas and expect they too will enjoy Nespresso for years to come.

Already Disappointed

I just bought this machine & I’m already anticipating for it to break prematurely… I have seen the same comments about this particular machine eventually breaking in less than a year on two different sites. I hope they fixed this issue recently.

Love the Flexibility of sizes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our Vertuo Plus for over 2 years and love the ability to make a cup of coffee to an Iced Shaken espresso at home. My husband is going to Arizona for 2 months this winter to team rope. We purchased the Vertuo Next for him to take with him plus it makes larger coffee sizes. So far we love it. My only issue is I wish it closed like the Plus.
