Disappointed.

I had the vertuo by DeLonghi & loved it. I kept hearing this particular machine (vertuo by BreVille) was better than the one I had. The thing is I never saw the BreVille one at my store.. until yesterday. So I gifted my DeLonghi to a friend and bought this machine.. Big mistake, for multiple reasons. Yes I absolutely love how it looks, but that's about it. The reservoir is much smaller, literally no cup I own fits under the spout, and because of that I have to awkwardly hold a cup for my coffee and a cup to run water through. I almost could have dealt with that, but my biggest complaint is the water was not getting hot.. at all. It was barely luke warm.. and that I cannot accept. My DeLonghi got the water very hot. I did look up how to help that, and I read that if I ran a good amount of water through it, it would help get the pressure up and make the water hot.. didn't make sense to me but hey, I tried.. did nothing at all. So back to the store it will go. Definitely exchanging it for the DeLonghi again. Two stars because I like the look of it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Coffee at Home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad I finally got around to getting my Nespresso machine. It not only makes my favorite coffee drinks from the comfort of my own home but it’s stunning and elevates the feel of my kitchen. My only regret is not getting it sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as my parents had it while visiting them over the Christmas holidays. After retuning home, I couldn't just go back to my regular coffee, thus I purchased one for myself. I love it every time I use it in the morning and afternoon!

The Nespresso Vertuo Next makes some seriously amazing coffee! I live in a rural area and mostly work from home so having this machine enables me to get top notch brewed coffee any day I want! I show some size comparisons to a traditional coffee pot. This nespresso takes up less space than a traditional maker and can be slid back up against the wall and still have enough space to open under the upper cabinets. There weren’t many instructions included so I’d recommend the Nespresso YouTube channel for some great QuickStart videos. It is a bit louder than I am used to. There is an app and wifi connectivity but it doesn’t allow you to schedule a brew and I don’t see a big benefit to the app. You can order more coffee through the app and they are a bit pricey so this is my special occasion and guest coffee. The vertuo pods are newer design so there aren’t yet as many options for other branded coffee, but they seem to slowly be appearing out there! I also got a stainless steel reusable pod off that fast shipping site and it works in the machine but needs fine ground coffee to get close to the Nespresso brand level of taste from the brew. I also discovered there is a top off feature-within 45sec of finishing, press the brew button again to top off the cup. You can also unlock and lock again (without lifting the lid) and get a second, not as strong, but fills more of my cup, brew out of the same pod. I’m used to being able to select my size brew but this one chooses automatically for you based on the barcode on the pod. The lock/unlock workaround works just as well though. Love this high quality Nespresso machine!
