Great Compact Coffee / Espresso maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these for my own house after staying with some friends that has a similar model. I like the compact size and ease of use. I especially like the fact that each pod has info on it that the coffee maker uses to brew a perfect cup.

Works just like an expensive coffee maker should

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No problems with the machine after a couple of years; the coffee tastes great and works perfectly. I knocked a star off for value; the Vertuo pods are unnecessarily expensive because the company doesn’t allow any 3rd party companies to make pods to compete with them.

Great coffee.. bad machine

I got this for christmas in 2020 and it worked fine for about 6 months but is very inconsistent with its performance. It doesn’t even turn on when plugged in half the time, it over brews for espresso pods and fills a whole cup or only spits out a few drops before shutting off. I love the taste of the coffee but the machines aren’t cheap so now I have to buy a brand new one to use the pods I still have. Today I tried plugging it in and in plugging it 4 times before it would come on and it made one cup fine and then would only spit out a few drops. Descaling didn’t help either so this machine is just shot. Love the coffee but wish the machines worked better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Buttery smooth espresso

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my machine a month ago and I absolutely love it! The espresso/coffee is top notch. Pours so smooth and even produces the froth/foam with every pour. I also recommend purchasing the milk frother for the full top notch experience. The machine works perfect, and pours fast (not a loose ground in site).

great coffee, but leaks water from the bottom

Really love the coffee, but have had some mechanical issues since it was unboxed. 1.) about a week into using it, it started leaking water from the bottom...constantly (even when not in use) and like really leaking. We ended up just leaving towels under and changing them out once fully saturated until we had time to call and troubleshoot. The helpdesk individuals were really great and now we are waiting on our replacement to be shipped. 2.) we tried out the Starbucks Nespresso pods, and the coffee pods brewed just fine, but the machine would over brew the Starbucks espresso pods and wouldn't stop brewing and would overflow unless you pressed the top button to manually to stop the brew. However, I want to note that we never had that issue with the Nespresso brand espresso pods, only the Starbucks Nespresso espresso pods. This is my first Nespresso experience and I was super excited to finally have one, but the mechanical issues have been a big bummer... I really hope our replacement doesn't have any of these issues!

Nice machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had originally purchased the Vertuo Next and had 3 replacement machines over a month period and each one had issues so we were sent this one as a replacement. I do think this is a better machine, it’s much quieter than the Next. However I do wish it brewed the largest size for the carafe which is why we originally purchased the Next. I also wish they would have given us a color choice for the machine.

Perfect coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love love love! However, I wish they were made better. I have bought 4 machines in 3 years. One was a gift . But 3 for myself. One lasted less than year. Ridiculous. So I just bought another one. I can't be without it! But if either one I have breaks again, I probably won't replace them. Too much $ to keep replacing.

They went backwards in designing this machine.

It's difficult to believe how cheap this machine feels. It's loud, and frustrating to open and lock. My machine will move several inches and if the tiny water reservoir doesn't spill, it will need to be topped off that morning anyway. I'm returning this to the place of purchase and buying an older design with much better features. My friend in Canada had one of a similar design to the one I'm replacing this with. It was super easy, one tiny lift upwards and it discards the old pod and is ready for the next. Having been a Nespresso user for over a decade and a half the quality of this machine really took me off guard.
