Machine stopped working ONE year after purchase

our machine just suddenly stopped working only one year after buying it. we are not obsessive coffee drinkers therefore our machine was used seldomly. this is extremely frustrating bc we had a perfectly good working Keurig machine but wanted to stop using it due to all the plastic. We liked the fact Nespresso uses aluminum cups as opposed to plastic ones. But if the machine is going to break only ONE year after buying it, is it worth going through the frustration and financial losses?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2 machines died in less than 2 years.

We have had 2 Vertuo Plus machines that have lasted 11 months then died. Today I was told that my issue was over heating or the thermal unit was bad. Both times the machine stopped working was after sitting for 24 hours. Both times Nespresso offered to repair the machine. So what do I do while you are repairing the machine? How long will it take? Note, we have different Vertuo model in our 2nd home that is at least 3 or 4 years old. No issues. Something about the Veruo Plus that does not seem to work for us.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After a year you and your machine are on your own.

This machine was like our family member, we loved it. And any place in the world we'd go and see the Nespresso shop, we'd support it absolutely ! However, 4 years passed by, the machine, a coffee to be exact, started leaking. We called the support center, went thru the whole process that took almost 40 min to find out they can't help us. AS THE WORLD WIDE FAMOUS COFFEE MACHINE COMPANY WON'T HELP YOU IF YOUR MACHINE IS MORE THAN A YEAR OLD! SO BASICALLY THET SAY THAT 4 YEARS IS TOO OLD HENCE THE NESPRESSO MACHINE IS NOT GOOD AFTER A YEAR OR TWO. WILL NOT RECOMMEND. I WOULD ACCPECT A LITTLE BIT MORE FROM THIS PARTICULAR COMPANY!!!

Boy am I so glad my daughter talked me into buying this. Now I am enjoying my triple late, she loves ice coffees and we can have it all without running to a coffee shop. Just get you favorite Vertuo coffee and press the button. The flavor and aroma is unbeatable and yes it is hot!!! My Nespresso VertuoPlus came with milk frothing unit. Now coffee making is a breeze before work and after. Forget others (I’ve tried and coffee was never hot) this will definitely be a winner in any house.

Great coffee.....when the machine isn't broken!

I purchased this machine just over 2 years ago. Today is the third time it had broken. The first time was just after a couple months, then again on the very last day of the warranty and again today. Each time it has broken, it opens and closes, flashes, then goes solid green and stays solid green. The button is malfunctioning in their machines and they're not doing anything to improve the design. Each time they tried to blow it off as a cleaning issue on the paperwork when sent back, when I've been using R/O water in the machine every single time and have also been running the cleaner through the machine. When I try to troubleshoot each person just seems completely confused why it won't go into factory settings mode.....HERE'S A CLUE....THE BUTTON DESIGN IS DEFECTIVE SO THE MACHINE ISN'T REGISTERING THAT IT'S BEING PRESSED. After spending such good money on Nespresso and the coffee pods just for the machine to fail 3 times in just over 2 years with exact same issue, I will not buy Nespresso products again.

Vertuo plus machine not reliable

Bought this machine 1 year and 4 months ago and it stopped working. I get the 2 flashing red lights and then turns solid green. After speaking with Nespresso options given are pay to repair or purchase another. They offered 35% off for a machine that breaks down 4 months after warranty expires. It was great while it worked but you may want to look at another model.
