Buyer beware of Vertuo Next

Two stars only because the coffee is great WHEN it works. So disappointed in the TWO machines we have. The first one worked well for several months, then mysteriously quit (orange light repeatedly despite regular cleanings/descaling processes.) We had given a machine to mom, but it was so hard to lock and unlock for her that when ours quit, we confiscated hers (after buying her a Keurig which she adores and is easy for her to use--no the coffee isn't as good but she's happy with it.) Then the SECOND machine stopped working--again after regular cleaning and descaling. VERY disappointed, ESPECIALLY after having just received a large coffee order!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my vertuo plus for only a few weeks. The luxury to convenience factor is what drew me in to begin with. I would give it full marks except for two small things. I would appreciate the water chamber to be thicker or made of glass. And of course an even larger selection of new pod flavors to choose from.

Won’t recommend this machine

Consistent machine issues. Have called Vertuo customer service multiple times. I don’t the design works great. Coffee grains get stuck and I spend more time cleaning that making coffee. Very poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BEST NESPRESSO YET!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Vertuo (all others still in use!) I only drink Lattes, my wife only drinks coffee, my daughter only drinks decaf. There is one Vertuo pod that that will please anyone. Great coffee at a reasonable price!

Seems Great, good build quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this after a long back and forth with Nespresso after our Vertuo Next broke (for the 2nd time). Nespresso only gave me 30% off, but we had a lot of Vertuo pods to use. So far the build quality seems better than the Next. The electronic opening seems well built and not just a gimmick. It heats up quicker than the Next and actually brews larger coffee pods without erroring out! It's a little strange the Plus is cheaper than the Next, however it does not connect to Wifi for updates and troubleshooting. If that isn't a deal breaker for you, I'd pick this one over the Next.
