Stylish and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been thinking about getting a Nespresso machine and finally got one. I like to brew my own coffee by grinding beans and hand drip or use an old stovetop espresso machine and didn't own a coffee maker. I still use them from time to time but it's great that my husband can brew his own now with the ease of Nespresso machine.

Be cautious

I received this machine as a birthday gift and it stopped working a few months after. I did not use it daily or abuse the way you put in the pods so I was so curious why it stopped working. It was not even a year old and I bought a bunch of pods. This machine is disappointing I love the nespresso brand but this machine was the least favorite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If troubleshooting is unsuccessful, we have repair and replacement options via our Assistance Service Program, even when your machine is out of warranty. Machine is hard to manage. Customer service A+

Not sure if this was supposed to be an upgrade to the VertuoPlus. I decided on this machine because you can get the Alto pods. I've been using it for a few weeks. I have rheumatoid arthritis and the locking/unlocking is hard on my hands. It's really not easy at all! And for some reason, the drip tray is really small so when I'm wrestling with the top, I have to catch my mug from falling. and it is very loud but it is faster than the Plus. Main reason I'm exchanging is due to the difficulty I have locking and unlocking the machine. Customer service is GREAT as always!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than the newer manual locking model by far!

A vastly better machine than the newer, less expensive machine. It took two hands to load and lock the newer machine, this machine does everything for you. I fail to see the rationale of the new machine, but I guess to each his own. I can say that the VertuoPlus heats the coffee to the correct temperature vs. slightly tepid coffee from the new model also. I'm slightly disappointed in the "fake" crema' that's made by spinning the pod as opposed to the coffee just having a natural crema' like my Original Nespresso machine that's still in service.

Wrestling the lid to close

We've had our Vertuo for close to a year now. Love how my coffee tastes and we saved so much money from going to a coffee shop. My only concern is I have to wrestle to seal the lid to secure the capsule in place. I literally have to put a little weight on it to pressure the lid to close. Is that normal? A friend of ours has an older version that you press the lid and it automatically closes to start the coffee process.
I would recommend this to a friend!
