East to use, great foamy coffee!

Stops turning on after one year

Works great but only for a year. Both times I’ve gotten a new machine, after one year it stops turning on.

Have to get a new one a year in.

I bought this product just over a year ago. It has been very gently used. I do not brew coffee through it every day. I’ve done the routine cleaning and de scaling. I have the notifications set up that let me know if there is an error for my machine. It keeps overheating. I called someone from Nespresso and she asked me to clean the machine with soap and water. I have done that multiple times as well as the routine cleaning when necessary. They said there’s nothing they can do and I have to get a new machine. I absolutely love the coffee that it makes but this is just ridiculous. I paid a lot of money for this machine and took great care of it and now I have to get a whole new one a year in. I asked if I had done anything wrong, and she didn’t really give me an explanation. I don’t know if I want to go purchase a whole other one, just to have to get a new one in another year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unreliable Machine. Bad Support

I am done with this machine and I am done with Nespresso. We have been having ongoing issued with this machine starting with the lid not staying closed when the machine is idle. The machine making noises when brewing like it is grinding sand. Red LED blinking preventing the machine from brewing, requiring the machine be unplugged from the wall. Then there is the frustrating support from Nespresso. We have provided photos and videos of all these issues. Had numerous online chats. No matter, Nespresso would require video calls. So we did them. Spent exasperating hours with support person repeating a support rhetoric and trying to always end-up in us at fault for not descaling the machine (which we do). Not regularly water flushing the machine (which we do), Not buying Nespresso descaling fluid (which we do). SO WE ARE DONE! Machine going bye-bye and we will never have to buy these overpriced pods.

Descaling Sensor Failure

I just had to purchase a new VertuoPlus machine because my old one would not longer pass any water. I love my Nespresso coffee machines and milk frother. However, here in AZ we have very hard water. The machine claims to tell you when it needs to be descaled. Mine failed horribly. Once it started having problems no amount of descaling would make it function properly. You cannot descale when no water passes through the system. So I had to trash the old one and buy a new one. When a capsule was loaded and the top button pressed the machine we whirl up and then stop with a solid red light. Manual says to call Nespresso. I did and they said let it cool off for 15 minutes. I did that with no change. The last time this happened I put a heavy mixture of white vinegar in the water tank. I took over 20 tries for the vinegar to break up the calcification in the machine. I got another six months out of the old machine with that. Do not trust the descaling sensor.

Good coffee. Just not hot eniugh

I love the machine and the coffee is excellent but it isn’t very hot. I end up putting it into the microwave.

Finally, the Ideal single cup coffee maker

I love coffee and have been drinking it daily for over 60 years. But I am the only coffee drinker in my house, and the hassle of making a decent single cup of coffee was always a problem until Keurig came out with its single brew coffee maker in 2006. The coffee was never great, but it was decent, and the coffee came out hot, which I liked.
Recently I acquired the Nespresso Veturo Plus ,and now I’ve finally found my ideal coffee maker. It is more convenient to use than the Keurig, and the coffee is produced is much better. It appears that this coffee maker is also sold with Breville and De’Longhi labels, but I suspect all three are identical.
This coffee maker is very easy to use. Unlike the Keurig, it doesn’t have a setting that keeps the water always hot, but it only takes a minute or so to heat up. The water reservoir in the Nespresso is larger, meaning you don’t have to refill it as often, and it is much easier to remove, refill and replace than the Keurig. Cleaning is easier, and the Veturo takes up less room on my kitchen counter.
While the Nespresso Veturo line of coffees aren’t as extensive as what is available for Keurig, I found the Nespresso coffees offered to be excellent, with a range of strengths that exceeds that available from my Keurig. In addition, I sometimes enjoy a double espresso, which the Nespresso makes pretty well.
I have read complaints that the coffee doesn’t come out hot enough in the Nespresso machine. But it does. What’s needed is a good, heated insulated cup to keep the coffee hot. I have found the BTaT- Insulated Coffee Mugs, Glass Tea Mugs, Set of 4 (12 oz, 350 ml), Double Wall Glass Coffee Cups, available from Amazon to be the ideal cup. To make a cup of coffee in the morning I first turn the coffee make on by pressing the button on the top. I then fill a coffee mug with water and heat it for two minutes in the microwave, meanwhile making my breakfast. When breakfast is almost ready, I pour out the hot water from my cup and brew a cup of coffee in the Nespresso. If I time it right, breakfast and coffee are ready at the same time, and my coffee is nice and hot for the time it takes to eat my breakfast. A great way to start a day.
