Sherpa 50 is plenty for what you need for backpacking and car camping. Mostly, I use for lantern, cell phone, tablet, and camera. This thing is a beat when it comes to juicing to electronics. Amazing how you can plug two things at once and it keeps juicing the electronics quickly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This thing is great. Lightweight, multiple options, and it holds a charge very well.
I bought this kit to take to rural Ghana (plenty of sun) to power (primarily) my WaterPik and my Sonicare toothbrush. (much more important than any computer or phone). It charged up in half the time listed and has lasted so long I forgot I was using a battery. I love it!
I purchased this several weeks ago before all the rain hit Texas, so I have not had time to test the photo cells. The sherpa is ready to go at a moments notice. Truthfully, I will not fully integrate the system until my first day of biking. Packs well, looks cool, now let's see it performs.
Gave the Sherpa 50 a few test loads and it ran great. I ran a fan and charged my phone to deplete the battery competley then charged it back up completely with only the solar panels. It did take the entire day and had to adjust panels as the sun moved thu the sky but all in all its worth the trouble and wieght of carrying.
