Just got back from the Himalayas and used the Sherpa 50 with a Nomad 20 plus the inverter to charge not only my equipment but also my fellow trekkers and members of the trekking company. This system was easy to use and worked well. Looking forward to using it again on my next adventure.

I have used the sherpa 50 pretty much everyday for over a year...it has powered up evrything from phones, tablets, speakers, laterns, laptops, cameras, etc...basically everything I could throw at it..It even powered a air pump and pumped up my air matress on my camping trips. I also use it to power my LAL in my tent.

I use this unit mostly for traveling and working in Kenya. Its sweet spot is cell phones. And since everyone in the world, it would seem, now uses cell phones, the Sherpa 50/Nomad 13 is a handy combo-tool to have. The best part about this set is the size. Without the inverter, I can keep the battery in my jacket pocket, or on my dash, or just about anywhere. The panels fold up well and disappear into my backpack.
The set is not only portable, but also discreet, and doesn’t attract any unwanted attention. At the same time, it charges gadgets extremely fast and my team can charge several phones or cameras a day – and do this for several days in a row before the Sherpa must be recharged.
The main drawback is a necessary one with the speed and portability benefits: it can’t charge my computer. (For that I use the Sherpa 100.) It can, however, power my trail cameras, which is handy and saves me buying a bunch of AAs all the time.
The little features make the set even more versatile. The LED is helpful for finding the flashlight you just charged, since the Sherpa is much easier to locate in the dark than a tiny headlamp. The thin metal cable is awesome for securing the unit to your tent, pack, or whatever else to make sure that wind and bumpy roads don’t bounce the thing onto a sharp rock.

I own the Sherpa 50 for charging my phone or lighting up my campsite. When hooked up to a couple Goal Zero led lanterns I can cook dinner after the sun sets. I also have a Yeti 1250 and 3 Boulder 30 solar panels. All of them are great products.

I haven't used it yet, but it is a thing of beauty, and I strongly believe it will be as efficient as all my other Goal Zero products.

This power supply helps me keep camera batteries charged, AA's for my flashes stay powered up and the hard drives spinning to store images. My 13.5 nomad panels provide it's recharge volt's and is a good investment for our team

Wish I could turn off the power LEDs Overall well made and durable we'll see as I go on more trips
