I have several goal zero lights, the mini lantern, the Torch 250 flashlight and the 400 Lantern; I'm a huge fan of these products. I've taken them all over the world, in places where there's no electricity and gave them as gifts to help light up homes and schools. Recently during a power outage in my home, the 400 lantern kept my kitchen well lit, so I could make dinner, then it lasted until the power came back on...for about 5 hours it kept us out of the dark. I also used an Eco Lantern by Weatherrite during the blackout, it quite after about 3 hrs, even with cranking it up it would only last several minutes. I highly recommend the 400 Lantern and the 250 Flashlight.

When we moved and did not have all our furniture, I used my lighthouse as my night table lamp. It actually works so well I was on no hurry to get our regular night table lamps.
We just took a mont long trip in our travel trailer - and my wife took mine & wont give it back!
I love the fact that you can vary the brightness and charge it from a USB outlet. This is a very versatile and well made item.

I thought it was pretty cool. I gave it to my nephew for camping. I think it was well thought out and provides good lighting. It is compact which is important for campers . Only drawback would be the charging handle used to charge the battery gave me a little concern because I thought it should be more heavy duty. I also thought it was a bit pricey .

A great camp/backup light.
The light colour temperature is thankfully on the warm end. I find cool white light irritating and uncomfortable. The light output is slightly cooler than an incandescent bulb/candle light....but its far from a white led/fluro. Very satisfied!
Unit is light. No issue adding it to our camp pack.
The body of the unit is roughly the size of two clenched fists together. Not tiny but not too large imo.
The crank has been well designed and assembled. Doesn't feel cheap and will hold up to hrs of use if need be.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These lanterns are choked full of features. I would recommend these. The lantern features themselves are excellent then add on the USB hub and charging by sun, USB and a hand crank you have a lantern that is second to none. Cons: it seems the internal bettieries are not user replaceable or at least it is not document as user replaceable. The on board hanging hook/handle has slid out on me seems like there should be more tension to keep it in place.
None of these Cons are crictal to me so I would buy this lantern again.
