Much More than Anticipated

The 24" size was very important to me, and I have always been limited to small machines. Most of these earlier machines were "tinny" in construction and appearance. One import broke down far too often, and was expensive to repair. Now, my new compact LG was a surprise: it washes better than any machine I have had. It is attractive ans seems well built. It does have more bells and whistles than I have ever used and am pretty sure I won't need them all, but there they are for those who would use them. I have only the concern that more functions makes for more possible things to break...but nothing has broken. I love that it make music. That's very amusing. It was expensive, but even my former machines cost quite a bit, probably because there's not a big market for them. Thank you LG for making one I really like.

Great machine

I am going to be completely honest about the pros and cons as I see them. Please keep in mind that despite any negatives I would still purchase this washer in a heart beat. Just not from the same store...long story.
I have both the washer and dryer. For the price I wish it would of come with the steam function or a few color options. But not a make it or break it for me.
My set is stacked. At the end of the wash cycle it is slightly loud and wobbles. I have no idea if the delivery service didn't level them properly or if it's normal. This is the only stacked set I've owned.
I'm in a condo so space was limited and these fit perfectly. The cost to run might as well be nil. As others have stated, the wash cycle takes a little longer than I am used to depending on the cycle. I got used to this rather quickly. I can't fit as much into the washer as I am used to with top loaders but it's only slightly less and still much more than I figured. So again, not a big deal, to me. My clothes come out 10 times cleaner. whites are whiter yada yada.
I had a few friends warn me about their front loaders smelling. So I've run a clean cycle with bleach once a week. I also wipe down the door and seal after I use it and leave the door open to dry out. It has yet to develop a smell.
My biggest and only real complaint is the seal catches lint or other debris after washes.

I Love This Washer

A. It senses how much laundry is inside of the washer and therefore will put the right amount of water to wash the clothes.
B. It's real quiet, to the point you forget that it's on.
C. I like how dry the clothes are after the spinning cycle.
D. I like the alarm that goes off when the laundry finishes and when you turn on the washer.
E. I like when the washer tells you how much time it takes to wash each load per cycle.
F. I like that there's a hand washing cycle
G. I like the fact that there's a tap cold cycle. I wash my load only in tap cold water.

1. you have to dry the door and areas where you put laundry liquid.
2. you must keep the door open after washing your last load
3. you must clean the tub, by placing a tub cleaner tab in once per month.

Great but very expensive to repair

I bought this machine in July 2016 - it was deeply discounted - and it turns out also 're-manufactured' as indicated by a tiny sticker on the back. We loved everything about this machine. Unfortunately early in 2019 it flashed OE error code, and stopped draining water. A search of the internet reveals its the drain pump that needs replacing - its a common problem, this part often wears out. OK that's a cheap part but videos reveal that you practically have to take the machine apart to get at the drain pump to replace it. Why not make it easier to get to it - or use a better drain pump. It will cost me a couple hundred bucks in labor to get the washer running again.
Pros: ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance

This washer is being used in our RV

We installed this direct drive washer in our RV which is left all year on the same lot. The washer is so quiet. When the machine is on it's final spin we do feel a little vibration in the floor which I believe would be expected with any machine. When I set it on extra high spin we feel absolutely no vibration. I'm so satisfied with how clean it gets the clothes. Best of all is the amount of clothes that can be washed in one load. It has so much more capacity than the usual washing machine used in an RV. In case we ever take our RV on the road again we will reinsert the shipping bolts that we have saved. I highly recommended this machine to all my friends.

Great washer! Clothes come out clean and fresh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this along with the matching ventless dryer for a small apartment to replace a full size permanently stacked unit and I love it! I was hesitant at first about spending so much money but I'm glad I did. They work great!
