Exactly what I was looking for

It looks like a real watch, acts like a real watch...because it is! I have a moto360, but had tired of the weight and battery life. In the end I only used the 360 to check for updates without looking at my phone and occasionally controlling my phone camera. I can do this all with my Jorn, at half the weight, less size and awesome battery life!

I got this watch for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift and he loved it! He has been wearing it every day since. He loves watches but prefers more classic styles, he doesn't like big and chunky ones, and most of the smartwatches I saw wouldn't fit his style taste so I did some research and found the Skagen watches. He is hooked with all of the features, the app and contacts notifications, step tracker and the sleep tracker as well - I might have to get him a new one so that he has a couple of different colors since he doesn't take this off. By the way and not related to the watch, Skagen customer service team is great to work with as well and very responsive.

Looks Great, Just Smart Enough

I use this watch as a fashion accessory and to enable me to keep my phone silenced. What I love about it is its long battery life, good looks, and great quality. I map most contact numbers to a couple of locations on the dial, depending on whether it's family or professional; that way I can see: someone's calling, and whether it's someone I know I care about. This works quite well. I don't rely on the activity or sleep tracking; I wear a dedicated heart rate and sleep tracking device for that at night so I get detailed and accurate data. The Jorn isn't designed for that and thus I don't use it for that. I only have a few things I would like to improve about the Jorn. First, the buckle clasp was very sharp, and I could feel it constantly pressing against my skin, until I used 320-grit sandpaper to take off the edges ever so slightly. Second, I wish it had a silent vibrating alarm: I would wear it at night for that (I had another hybrid watch with that feature and I miss it.) Third, I wish its notifications were able to vibrate for any app whatsoever. There are other smartphone watch manufacturers who have figured out how to do this feature and I really liked it. (But I decided I wanted a hybrid watch instead.) Lastly, I wish it had a second hand.

I got the black band with titanium case, but now wish I had ordered the tan band as its face is higher contrast and more easily understood.

This Watch Turned Me Completely Off the Skagen Brand

Let me start by saying I own 7 Skagen watches (including the Jorn hybrid). My experience with the Jorn hybrid, however, in conjunction with the tech "support" I received as follow-up, has turned me off the brand completely. I'll never buy another Skagen--ever. That Skagen are allowed to call the Jorn hybrid a "smartwatch" is laughable. Yes, I knew it had limited functionality before I bought it. And if it actually HAD the functionality it claims, I'd be happy with it. But one of the few things it claims to do it does so poorly as to render the function useless--and I'm not talking about the barely perceptible vibration it makes when notifying you of an incoming message (which you become attuned to after a couple of days). The function in question is the step counter. The step counter is about as primitive as they come. I own the base Fitbit and when I walk 100 steps, the Fitbit indicates I've walked 100 steps--every time. And it does this whether I'm walking on the sidewalk or on a treadmill. Over 10 tests with the Jorn hybrid produced a range of counted steps between 62 and 84--note, never 100. Tech Support's response was to instruct me how I should walk in order to get the best estimate of my steps. That's right--their solution to a primitive step counter is to tell you to walk differently! It seems that it really just counts the movements of your wrist. So, if you are a few steps short of your goal, make a martini using a shaker and you'll add dozens of steps to your counter while standing at your bar!

I recieved this as a graduation gift, having previously owned a similar watch from the regular line of wearables. Overall I have to say this is my new favorite thing! I have been looking for an analog watch that could also double as my activity tracker and this met my expectations beyond what I could've hoped :) It's very comfortable, and the strap has close, small notches so it's easy to size. It send notifications, allows me to program and preset- the response time and connectivity between this and my smart phone is amazing, and I would highly recommend this brand and watch to anyone who will listen!

Goes crazy time to time

Bought to have notifications, but the vibration is so weak that most of times goes unnoticed. Time to time vibrates without reason and hands go around. I guess it syncs with the phone. It is nice not having to adjust time when travelling. Otherwise nice looking, superlight (titanium body), relatively thin smartwatch. It would be better if it had a day and date. You need to set and push a button to make hands to point to the date. The numbers so tiny I needed to use glasses to see.
