Poor Engineering/Quality Assurance

Purchased this Adapter approximately 6-7 months ago to connect my Galaxy 9s+ to my 2012 Samsung Smart TV -- only because the preloaded TV apps were not updatable and was having buffering issues when connecting wirelessly. Last night, the HDMI connection was working fine when shut down for the evening, however, the following morning no files were transferring over the HDMI cable. I did some testing and diagnosed the adapter stopped working. It was easy to figure out why...the adapter generates excessive heat (Almost to hot to touch)..obvious the adapter was not designed to dissipate heat...adapter burned itself out!!!
At the time I purchased the Adapter, I had tried a couple different adapters and was the only one that was fully functional for my Set-Up. Luckily with the rollout of DEX on my phone one of the Cheap adapter I had bought now worked and it doesn't get hot!!!! Awful lot of money for an adapter that only lasts 6 to 8 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this item and I am very happy of its quality and performance. So far have used it with S8 and Note8 phones and work great, images and sound are perfect!
Very good value for its quality and ease of use!
Hope there was earlier the same possibility from Samsung for S7 or S6.
I use at work and at home to view photos, videos and movies.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, very handy and useful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked only a couple time but constantly stop mirroring the phone (S9). Now it doesn’t work at all. I need support and/or answers.

I have been waiting so long to connect my Galaxy S8 to my car's Kenwood's stereo via MHL-HDMI, I was really clueless in finding the right cable and finally I was able to find this cable which really looks slim and portable.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, portable, quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

More expensive than competitive products and stopped working after third use. Would not recommend this to anyone. Don't buy.
