I have just started using these - by far these were the best value for the number of weight variations that I can use. Trying to buy individual dumbbells to cover what is provided with this set was going to be WAY more expensive. I also have a small workout space, so the compact design was key as well.

As a husband, father of three, and retired U.S.C.G. Senior Enlisted Leader, health and fitness is a priority. Since retiring from the military, I've created a home gym and the SelectTech 552s are the perfect addition. This wonderful alternative to the traditional set of dumbbells is compact and provides the ability to get in a great workout. Having the ability to add weight incrementally (2.5lbs) from 5-25lbs is ideal for strengthening different muscles without fear of tearing something because of the traditional 5lbs increase. Regardless if I'm training for a triathlon, obstacle course race, or working out with my family, the SelectTech 552s have met our needs and allowed me to stay competitive.

I had a set of rubber dumbell placed in a rack that took a lot of space. In addition it was not the weight level that I am in. I had to buy more dumbells, 30 + 35 + 40+45 pluss pluss. With bowflex that is all gone, and it does use 90 % less space. What I was most impressed of was the design and seldom combo of sturdiness but at the same time astonishing easy to switch between different weight levels. I would recommend Bowflex to whomever that is planning on buying dumbbells.
