I've wanted these for 10 years and I finally picked them up. I don't exercise just as a hobby or because it's the "in thing" to do right now with cross fit mania sweeping the country. I lift to push my self every work out. I'm not a body builder or competitve powerlifter I train for the challenge. To push your self to your limit and then beyond that to see how far you can go. Nothing reckless or dangerous just to see what we as human beings are capable of. One of the most important things with lifting weights is intensity and nothing slows you down fast then stripping and placing new weights as you train to failure. As your doing your drop sets after your heavy lifting to really train and fry every last muscle fiber you. There's nothing out there that can keep your intensity up as well as your heart rate to really burn those calories as these Dumbbells. Bowflex has always prided themselves on the ability to help people train and the 552's are no exception. Do your self a favor buy these and use them I've trained at home for the last 13 years and I can't tell you what these have done to help me get over some of those platoes we all face in our training. When you look at these everyone think biceps or triceps but being able to do serious flys will do wonders for your chest fullness and width.

I LOVE how compact it is. We have VERY limited space at home for any gym equipment, but I wanted something at home for when I either can't, or don't have time, to go to the gym. The catalog and web page are a bit deceiving though in that it appears the rack comes with the dumbbells and it doesn't. It should be more specific AND give you the option to purchase as a set. I wanted the rack, as I thought it came with it, as did my husband when he bought it for me. I'm a bit disappointed. Now I'll have to buy that part too.
