These weights are great. They wide range of weights from 5-52.5 is great. Many competitors might go up by a standard weight like 5lbs, but these do a great job allowing many more options. I'm also a big fan of the fact that you can setup the dumbbell to have different weights on each side, allowing you to train the forearms against the twisting force. The mechanism to select weights is super smooth and easy to use - locks the weights down when you want and easy to change. A negative of these weights is that their large. I'm not sure they're bigger than competitors, but if you're only doing something like 5 or 10lbs, you're moving a large object, not a simple dumbbell - though this is pretty obvious looking at the pictures so I can't really see docking the score on this. Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase.
