I bought this as a gift for my husband. He used to go to the gym for weight training but stopped due to kids, covid, etc. He was not convinced that having weights at home would be great and neither was I. We both thought this might be inconvenient, hard to use, hard to set up and: we doubted that we would actually use it. We feared we'd end up spending money for nothing. None of this is true. We LOVE out Bowflex weights, but we also know that it is because of the convenience of the product: we are pretty sure that with other weights that are more complicated, we would not be using them as much (or at all).
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Incredibly convenient, Quiet, Simple Controls, Strengthens
Love the product, especially the fact that you can change the weight by just selecting it on the dials and not having to change weight plates. Saves time and space.
Pros: Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Use, Quiet, Strengthens
Cons: Hard To Set Up, Hold down straps are difficult to tighten proper
Easy to use and intuitive. Only drawback is well documented and hard to avoid with the system the dumbbell uses, but is just the bulk of the dumbbells is noticeable at the lower weights. Does not really inhibit the ability to get a good workout in with them, however.
I finally caved and got these when I couldn't find a safe apartment that I could afford but also had a gym. I'm not a giant power lifter but I did outgrow the dumbbell sets I had at home. I especially like the 2.5 weight increases at the lower weights. My main issue is with how bulky they are. For reference, I'm 5'4" and ~110. I just can't hold them in a good way for me to do squats. Someone who is taller than me may not have this issue. #sweepstakes
