Because of the ability to be 5lbs or 50lbs the dumbbells are bulky when in use but they are very easy to adjust and save on storage space because you don't need to have multiple dumbbells. I am still open on durability and have been extremely gentle putting these down as opposed to how you might drop standard metal dumbbells. #sweepstakes
