I am a 65 year old athlete that strives to stay in shape. These are great for being able to fine tune your lifting routine with the easily selectable weight system. They helped me with recovery from an injury by being able to pick the correct weight that allowed me to continue my lifting program without pain and without having to have multiple fixed weights taking up lots of room. Because of the ability to be 5lbs or 50lbs the dumbbells are bulky when in use but they are very easy to adjust and save on storage space because you don't need to have multiple dumbbells. I am still open on durability and have been extremely gentle putting these down as opposed to how you might drop standard metal dumbbells. #sweepstakes
