I do wish one knob chose the weight for both sides. I know this would be extremely difficult, but when trying to switch weight fast you have to turn each knob in a different direction than the other side. Not super hard, just not super easy either.

These are the perfect solution for my long-pursued home gym dreams. The entire package is very complete and thoughtfully designed. The handle has a great grip - part chrome on the ends and a bumpy high grade rubber grip on the interior. One bottom side of the weights is flat so that when you put them down they don't roll around. The weights don't clack around and shift during usage. The lower weight ranges increase in tiny 2.5 lb increments to help build up weaker muscles. The base is basic but seems solid and does the job. And of course these things take up barely any space and can fit practically anywhere you need them to. I have another Bowflex product (a weight bench that you can fold up and store away), and... its OK. Good quality but it has some awkward design aspects. These dumbbells are a 100% win, however, and I love them! Pricey, but worth the money - just like all the best products money can buy are. Especially if they last for many months to come (I bought mine about a month ago)
