I use the select tech 552 dumbbells for strength training after not working out for a while. With them being so easy to store I find myself working out more because I am able to have them off to the corner of my living room. It's very convenient. I have only used them a few weeks but they seem sturdy. Great value for the price.

I bought these so I could do some gym exercises at home; with the latest Covid variants I am steering clear of crowded places like the gym. They were a great buy - it's like getting a whole set of dumbbells in every weight that most people are likely to ever need, all in a single set of dumbbells that you can store in a fraction of the space you'd otherwise need. The dumbbells adjust really easily and are comfortable to hold. It's a little weird that the *size* of the dumbbells stays the same (large/wide) even when you've selected a relatively light weight, but that's an unavoidable limitation of adjustable dumbbells like these, and I've gotten used to it pretty quickly. The quality of design and manufacture seems high, and I think these will last for many years. Of course, I won't slam them around and abuse them - I suspect that adjustable dumbbells are not likely to stand up to lots of abuse because they have moving parts. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase!
