I'm using these dumbbells to get back into lifting after a long break. The ability to progressively increase the weight with only one set of dumbbells was appealing to me. That part is great. Unfortunately, the dumbbells themselves are so large, it makes it difficult to consistently use good form. It's not impossible, it just takes extra consideration, and for someone easing back into lifting , injury is a major concern. I wish Bowflex could somehow reduce the overall width of each dumbbell, or offer a product that maxes out around 30-35 pounds. I'm never going to need a 50 pound dumbbell, especially not without a proper bench to lift on.
