I use these on a daily basis within several workouts. The thing that I noticed immediately was how smooth the selector is! They are perfect for drop/super sets, where changing the amount of weight between sets should be done as quickly as possible.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Quiet, Strengthens
I use these on days that I can get to my gym. They're great for simple exercises like curls, extensions, and presses. They're not good for any exercise that requires holding the end of a dumbell. I love the weight ( and probably would have gone bigger) but the sheer size of these is something to consider. These are way bigger than a standard 50lb dumbell.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Strengthens
Cons: Heavy / Bulky, They have to align perfectly to switch weights
I use these in my living room, they are out of the way, way to use and very flexible as far as weight goes. These a lot easier and more comfortable than my golds gym weights.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use
There seems to be quite the backlog in getting these ordered and delivered, but our set arrived sooner than anticipated. The adjustment mechanism has a solid click when in position and we really appreciate that these don't have the awkward, boxy cage surrounding the handles that other adjustable dumbbells use. While we don't use the feature, instructions are included on how to bias the lifting weights to provide asymmetric mass distribution for additional stability training. One minor critique/comment -- you can't use these weights as a base for planks/pushup exercises or it may damage the latching mechanism. Most of the time this isn't a problem but I've run into a couple of workouts I've had to modify to avoid this. Additionally, the support trays seem a little flimsier in person than the pictures portray. Obviously they still hold up to 52.5# weights but the photo seems a little sleeker/sturdier. #sweepstakes
I have been wanting to level up my dumbbells for quite a while. These were actually recommended to me by a co-worker. I had previously used my partner's dumbbells that were a similar style, different brand, and simply loud and clangy with each lift. My main concern was the comfort and sounds when it came to use. No regrets whatsoever! The grip on these dumbbells are secure, non-slippery, but also not chafing. Overhead presses? Silently executed outside of us exerting ourselves. Unexpected features? The weights can be further modified so that the opposite ends have different weights. I didn't realize this when ordering it -- so cool! Also really happy I got the stand because, well, it looks super nice in the gym that we worked hard to setup last year. Considering my co-worker has had these for a long time, I expect these to last for many years to come. #sweepstakes
