Got this to expand my weight range with dumbells and save some space. Love them so far! Very functional and convenient. Were easy to set up. Took about 20 minutes. Only thing I'm concerned about is that the weights attached don't seem super sturdy, and seem like they could break if dropped. This may not be fact, but I have heard of them breaking so I'm just extra careful with them.

This was an early Christmas gift to myself. I am using it for P90 X. The 552's added more intensity than the resistance bands I was using. The dial on the weights works smoothly and transitions quickly between exercises. Sorry, I can't give any cons without lying. 5 star product.

I needed a solution to have a gym alternative in the house. I have a newborn and I cannot get to the gym every night anymore. I put a treadmill, a bench, and the 552 dumbbells in a small area of my basement and it is like an instant gym. I debated long about getting the 552 or the 1090 weights. Knowing I still will leverage the gym on occasion I opted for the 552's. My mentality is I will leave my heavy lifting to the professional equipment and do more high rep work at home. I am very happy with my decision as the 552's are just the right size. Any bigger and I can see the weights getting in the way for exercises that require a lot of motion. The dumbbells are a bit wide compared to a standard weight, so the inch or two saved by going with the 552's compared to the 1090s is helpful. I was actually surprised at how sturdy the system is, it does not feel lose and the click wheel to select the weights moves very easily, yet has a very distinct "click" to lock in. In the end of the day, I have a very versatile solution for my needs.

Cons: Bulky For Smaller Weights

I use these dumbbells along with my P90X videos. It makes it easier to keep up when transitioning from one exercise to another. Before I would have to pause the CD and change the weights. These dumbbells allow me to quickly change weights and it is so easy to adjust the weights if I feel like I should go heavier or lighter. They are definitely worth getting.
