These dumbells are just spectacular. The range in weight amounts is incredible. If you're just starting out and don't want to start to heavy, you have that option. Once you start getting stronger, you can start packing on more weight. The dumbells are very sturdy; the weight plates don't shake around at all, and you can even use it as push up bars. The only downside is that they're kind of bulky, but not any more bulky than regular 50lbs weights. They're not too hard to conceal even if you don't have a lot of room. Overall, these dumbells are going to give you great results as long as you are following a good work-out program.

I purchased two dumbells and the rack and couldn't be more pleased. They have been carefully designed to work smoothly and insure the safety of the lifter. I like the feature that if you don't have the selector properly in line the weights won't separate. They are easy and quick to change weights if you are doing progressive reps, the plates don't wobble while you lift and you can asymetrically load the weight to target muscle groups. An unexpected feature was a DVD instructing you how to pick up the weights, safely get into a bench press position with heavy weight, and correctly perform a wide array of exercises.

I debated for a long time whether this was worth the investment. After the purchase and use for the first week, I can say I made the right decision. The ability to have 1 set of dumbbells which act as 15 sets is very convenient. Add the Bowflex adjustable bench and do a search for DumbBell Workouts and you can replace half your time in the gym which can be a task to get to after working a long day. I find it best to use for full Arms and Shoulder workouts since the amount of exercises are endless. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a home gym alternative but wouldnt recommend that this replace your gym membership.

I have been waiting for these weights to go down in price enough to buy them. I have been working out, on and off, for the last 30 years. I have owned a Bowflex machine for 15 years. I got them after Christmas for a great deal. I didn't buy the stand because of limited space and built my own shelf to hold them. The flat support the weights come in fit nicely on my shelf. I am so happy i got them and they work just like the gym weights that take up 10x more space!!

They are a little bulky for me, but I am still able to use them, I just have to alter my arm workouts to fit the weights. I use my Bowflex dumbells almost everyday as I am going through the P90X workout. Having had gone through P90X both without the dumbells and now with them, it is a world of difference and make the workouts easier to get through and more challenging. Being able to change weights so quickly has been invaluable. Love it, love it, love it! Easy to use, takes up small space, on wheels so I can move it easily across my wood floors (I also got the stand which has been invaluable...GET THE STAND!)...no complaints! Very happy!
