I'm 54 and needed to incorporate free weights into my cardio and cable weight training routine, and after reviewing several products, I decided on the BowFlex Selecttech 552. My decision was based on several factors; other customer reviews, quality, reliability, cost, and ease of use. Some reviews had a concern with the bulkiness; but, these are very easy to use and not bulky. In summary, a great product that I use three times a week and will be getting the Selecttech 1090 relatively soon for increased weight options.

Excellent Piece of Fitness Equipment

I purchased my set of 552's over eleven (11) years ago. I work out 4-6 days a weeks and have put these dumbbells through it. If you take care of them they will last forever. These dumbbells have been one of the greatest pieces of fitness equipment I have ever purchased and I have been at for more than 25 years. These are not steel dumbbells, you cannot just dump them on the floor. Outstanding purchase and I have recommended them to others more times than I can count.

These are great for the while family. Myself, my husband and my daughter we can all use them by adjusting the weight and takes up very little space compared to how many dumbbells we would have to purchase to equal these

I use the 552's to stay toned on a regular basis. There is nothing lacking on the selectech 552 set.
Pros: Accurate Weight, Compact, Easy To Use, Good Grip, Professional look, VersatileVersatile

Just love these dumbbells. I purchased the stand with these and i highly recommend you do the same. I am not a gym rat but i work out 3 times a week and these are great for that.
