I just wanted to write to you to express my satisfaction with you line of SelectTech dumbells and equipment. As a beginner to the exercise scene, I originally purchased a set of 552 Dumbells and a 3.1 bench over 5 years ago. To my surprise, I quickly gained strength to the point where I needed to upgrade to a higher weight capacity. It was at that time I handed my 552 dumbells down to a friend and purchased a set of 1090 dumbells and the 5.1 adjustable bench, of which I still use to this day. They have both lasted the test of time and have yielded great results, so thank you for building such an innovative and durable product.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Effective, Multifunctional, Targets Muscles

Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells are space savers despite being bulky in your hands, can adjust each side to a different weight, rubber grip on the dumbbells aren't the best especially if you have sweaty hands, i would bought workout gloves to compensate for the sweaty hands
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Multifunctional, Not cheaply made, Takes up a small area
Cons: Bulky design, DO NOT DROP

These are excellent weights. I use them along with some beachbodyondemand workout programs and they are perfect. Having a single set of weights that can be adjusted so quickly has made things extremely convinient.

These dumbbells are excellent. Nice and compact and super simple to operate. The one thing I was curious about before I bought them was how difficult is it to change the weight. I wondered, does it require a lot of tension to adjust these things? The answer is an overwhelming no. The adjustment on these dumbbells is incredibly smooth considering the mechanics behind what must be happening to ensure the bar picks the correct weights up and doesn't let go. And of course above all, you can pick them up and put them down repeatedly to gain muscle. They work.

I use my weights mostly for Beachbody on demand workouts. They are wonderful because I have a small house and they are great space savers, but still able to progress and advance my strength moving up weights as I get stronger. The only two things I don't love about them are: I have to pause my videos a lot because there is no way to do a quick drop down/pick up transition between weights since I have to dial the weights to change them, and for some exercises the weights are too long for me to have good form (i.e. bicep curls).
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy Storage, Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Quiet, Strengthens
Cons: Difficult to change weight in fast paced workout, Heavy / Bulky

I'm using them to strengthen and increase my lean muscle mass. I'm getting back into weight training and needed a dumbbell with multiple weight options. I reviewed several competitors products but decided on Bowflex. It was a good decision on my part.
