How I use the 552s: - I use these DBs for a 4-day split. In addition, my partner uses them an additional day or two during the week. I've managed to build a great routine using just the 552s, which allow me to target key areas of strength/conditioning: biceps, triceps, shoulders, back, legs, etc. Things that are great about the 552s: - These dumbbells are solid. I have heard that they last long, and I am hopeful these will last a decade assuming I care for them. They save a lot of space as well, and allow me to have a good set-up with the stand. I appreciate the versatility of the DB weight options as well. They are relatively comfortable too. Areas of Improvement: - As other folks have said, they can be a bit bulky, however, they have yet to stop be from performing a certain workout. I am willing to deal with the bulk for the convenience of replacing several dumbbells. In addition, the hand-grip can get slippery while you workout/if you sweat. I am used to a more rigged grip that prevents slippage that these rubber-like handles have. - Not an area of improvement per se, however, if you lift heavy, these can be on the lighter end. I am sure gains have been lost during the pandemic, but after a few months 52.5 lbs can be limiting for certain movements. I do wish the 1090s were in stock as I would have opted for more weight.

I use this for strength training. Gives me some more weight I really needed for some back exercises. Wish the small incremental weight increase continued past 30 pounds because for me sometimes a 5 lb jump is a big one depending on exercise. Little bulky because of all the plates needed for the range of weight so just be careful to not whack your knee because these are a little wide.
