We've been using body-weight tools throughout the pandemic, but it was time to get back into heavier weight training. We don't have a dedicated fitness room, so we needed something compact but with enough weight to matter - Bowflex to the rescue! Unfortunately, the pandemic meant we had to wait 4 months from the time of ordering but it was worth it. The weights arrived in two separate boxes (60 lbs each...) and were easy to unpack and use immediately. The dials are solid but very smooth to move which was nice to see. Both my wife and I are comfortable using these. I wish the base wasn't plastic - I'm very worried it's going to break well before the weights do, and it's needed to hold the plates that aren't in use. It seems sturdy, but I'm just worried about the plastic breaking. The weights themselves seem sturdy enough though I'm not sure if the weight plates are plastic or plastic-coated metal. Time will tell. I don't think they're intended to be used in any way other than holding by the comfortable metal handle (which is all I need/use them for), so I wouldn't get these if you want to use them for any exercise where you need to hold them by the weight plates. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and excited to use these in my lifting routines.

Ordered this to build my home gym when the gyms all shut down during the beginning of the pandemic. Because everyone had the same idea I had to wait months on back order. Once they arrived I found very quickly they were well worth the wait. These are the best dumbbells for someone who wants quality equipment but doesn't have a ton of space for a proper dumbbell rack. They're incredibly well made and easy to change the weight. The only con I have is that the plates move a little bit, but it's to be expected and does not hinder their use at all. It's just a little bit annoying. I'd recommend these to anyone who's curious about them.

Bowflex has come up with a nifty solution for how to combine many dumb bells onto one. It saves a lot of space. The trade off is that they get a little bulky compared to regular dumb bells. Other than that they are great.

The ease of use if the best characteristic of these weights, you can easily switch from 50lbs to 5lbs in seconds. The only con is the size of the weights which makes some exercises awkward to do, but definitely not a deal breaker. I love these dumbbells!
